Good for him. Hopefully, he can find his game over there and become a productive NHL’er.

Also glad it’s on a West Coast team incase he starts filling the nets with pucks. Don’t have to see him do it against us 5 games a year.

  2. dandiogenes

Gonna be such a critical season for Zadina. Interested to see how he plays in San Jose.

  3. Wakattack00

I mean he should be a top 6 player for them playing with either Hertl or Couture. It may work out for him going this route. We shall see.

  4. YellowShorts

Low risk signing for another rebuilding team.

Not gonna stop me from talking shit to my Sharks fan buddy though

  5. QueefyBeefMeat

So no one was willing to bite at $1.8 mill but $1.1 mill is ok? Huh

  6. sharkbates1208

Thank God he’s in the west so I can support him fully

  7. non_target_eh

Best of luck to him, hopefully a fresh start can turn it around. Was actually very honorable of him to want contract termination and bet on himself. I don’t think many players would have done that.

Lol love how much more positive the reaction is in this sub compared to the Sens sub with ABD. Best of Luck Z, will have your jersey hanging in the back of my closet for a long time

Joining his buddy Givani Smith. Wish them both the best!

Good luck to him, but man him dropping like a stone on draft night is turning out to be accurate

i really hope this guy fills all the western conference nets.

I want him to succeed so badly.

  12. Cobalt8888

So…are the Wings now on the list of teams whose net he’s going to fill?

  13. dilypucks

The people want to know, will Zadina get a tribute video upon his return to the LCA?

  14. PineappleEntire7761

Happy he’s getting another opportunity. Hope he makes the best of it.

  15. doubeljack

Well, I’ll give him credit for picking one of the best spots for him to succeed. The sharks have some pretty good offensive pieces, but also less depth than we do. Let’s see if his bold strategy pays off. He left millions on the table.

I’m gonna just come out and say it.

I couldn’t care less if he does well and would prefer he doesn’t. I’d rather have it proven that the Wings did the right thing than to see Zadina thrive with another team.

  17. Dark_Brando

He’ll look good in a Sharks jersey. I hope he earns himself another contract and tears it up!

  18. Problemwoodchuck

Good for Fil, getting top six time with Hertl and Karlsson is a good opportunity

  19. Asap_roc

This guy underperforms his whole career, strong arms a contract in which he’s overpaid, then forces himself out after refusing an AHL assignment when Stevie tried to accommodate him. I’m not sure where all the love is coming from in this thread. Good luck to him, I guess, and I’m not gonna boo him when he comes to town, but it is kinda weird how many people are still stuck on him??

  20. Letskissthesky

He’ll have an opportunity there. I hope he can capitalize on this cause I’d say this is his last shot.

  21. seeseehawk

Surprised a team like the Avs didn’t take a chance on Zadina. San Jose might be a good place for him to grow, though…

  22. Sekshual_Tyranosauce

Awesome news and a very fair contract!

I hope he works out there.

  23. gasplugsetting3

Hope for the best! I want to see him be a productive nhl player somewhere!

  24. NeuralHandshake

Random fun fact: Zadina’s NHL debut was against San Jose.

  25. Wrath_Of_Aguirre

Glad it’s on a team in the west. I hope he is a top 9 mainstay for many years.
