  1. Detroit's roster sounds like the noises Adam West's Batman made when he punched bad guys.

  2. Adam…
You cannot say "put this trade in a vacuum"…
It's a flat cap world where salary means a lot, so what Ottawa does with that available salary is "part of the trade".
If they sign a guy that scores 30 goals and is there beyond this year, does that not make this a homerun for the Sens??

  3. Steve has seriously gotten very annoying for the last few episodes. Can they do an episode without his negative attitude?

  4. Man, Jesse sticking with the rangers eh? they've shown several times now they're not good team, time to wake up man!

  5. Leafs need to point to Rielly in these negotiations. Rielly could 100% have commanded $8+ million as a UFA, but instead chose to sign for a reasonable $7.5 million contract so the Leafs would have enough money to go around.

  6. The irony of hearing Adam say "you can't win on skill alone", after the last 5+ years, is hilarious LOL. šŸ¤”

  7. Blows my mind that someone is even remotely interested in a barbie movie.

  8. Spent my whole life in metro NY as an Isles fan. Rangers are at best the #6 team in the area, Isles forget about it. Knicks are #1 (only sport where most people support the same team), then the baseball teams, then the football teams. Then it's Rangers/Nets, then Isles/Devils/MLS.

  9. You will get to see Florence nude for apparently a fair amount of time. That should eliminate any bad you might feel from that movie.

  10. Idk steve. Nylander is better than Timo imo. Just look at the numbers. Willy has 100 more points with roughly 50 more games played. Also, Nylander is a playoff performer and has gotten better every season. I would be ok with a aav of 9m

  11. The time to trade one of the core 4 was after the Montreal series and thats on Dubas and Shanahan. Also, Dubas fucked us by singing JT to 11m. Comparing the NJ contracts to Toronto just makes Dubas look terrible. If you're going to blame anyone you got to blame Dubas. Cant blame the players for asking for the sun and the moon when the gm is so dumb to give it to them.

  12. I think they are not looking far enough as to when things went off the rails for the Leafs salary structure. It all started with giving Tavares that contract at 11 mil per season. Matthews and Marner outplayed him and they naturally wanted more than him. Why should they be taking less than the home town boy (with the Leafs pajamas) that did not give the hometown discount?

Nylander's (209 points) numbers are pretty similar to Tavares (206 points) the last 3 years. So why should he be making much less than him? The Tavares contract is what screwed the salary structure of the Leafs up. They made him the benchmark with his contract and payed him as the best player on the team…problem is he was surpassed very early after that by both Matthews and Marner. Now Nylander is producing as much if not more than him so he wants to get paid at least close to what Tavares is making.

I think the Leafs salary structure would look different had they never given Tavares that contract or if he would have taken a discount to play for his hometown team. The problem started with Tavares and it continues because of his production and contract.

You think if the Wings had given Debrincat 8 years at 9 million that players that outplay him on the Wings going forward would not be asking for as much if not more? Right now Larkin is the benchmark for the Wings if players start outplaying him, they will want to be payed as much or close to it.

  13. Steve I think you need to pick another team cause you are so bitter you don't think straight!!! I use to to like your shows but your getting too much!!

  14. Edvinsson will replace one of the D when he gets healthy. Remember, he's on IR to start the season. Those forward lines aren't accurate for what will likely happen either. It all depends on training camp/preseason performance from prospects (like Mazur and Soderblom).

  15. As for Nylander, it all depends of the terms. For 8 years you can bet your ass Nylanders get 10+ million per year. Nylander is way better than Debrincat, PLD, Meier and the other ā€œcomparableā€ you guys were talking about. Also if the reports are true about Matthews wanting 14M, thats the contract you guys should be worried about. Thatd be an awful contract, way worse than Willieā€™s.
