The Florida Panthers lost the Stanley Cup Finals to the Vegas Golden Knights, and we got some pretty shocking news from Paul Maurice regarding the health of some of his star players including Matthew Tkachuk and Aaron Exblad who were playing through bad injuries. Lots of NHL news coming soon!

I hope Tkachuk wins the Lady Byng trophy; maybe, someday
No substitute for size, skill, and speed in any order.
Bread and fucking circus.
Florida got exposed…were very very lucky not getting swept. Not a good team.
Fantastic season and playoff run, knocking off The Mighty Bruins along the way….NHL is the best as far as playoffs are concerned….
I call bullshit!!!! Tkatchuk couldn’t do the handshake. IMO!!! Why is he rubbing his neck & chest??? Doesn’t seem to be wearing anything protective & no breathing issues….hmmmmm. I’m surprised to hear “someone” had to dress him??? I think the NHLPA should take a look at THAT!!!
Maybe it’s a magical fracture that allows you to try & strangle someone. Good thing he had that stick around the neck of Pietrangelo. He must’ve seen how Benn “fell” on his stick.
That’s as believable as Harry & Meghan in a 2 HR long, high speed car chase in Manhattan.
Sorry, not sorry
Bergeron had a punctured lung along with various injuries and still played. Every NHL team has players playing with serious injuries during the playoffs. Couple of players in any sport by a long shot. That’s why I like it. There is look at soccer players and cringe cringe. When they are always acting like they are dying. When they are touched.
Excuses for being exposed and HUMILIATED in the Cup finals. Its getting really old.
Hes lying to make excuses
At some point these warriors gotta sit. Ekblad was no longer passing the eye test.
This is what happens when you build your entire team around one or two players. When that player gets injured or shut down by an opponent, you're done. That's why Connor McPerfect and the Oilers have never made it past the second round. Vegas's approach is "next man in" when someone gets injured. They have enough depth to keep going without some of their top line guys. Just look at their goalie situation throughout the year. That's also why they could go without Stone and Eichel when they were injured. It's a team sport, not one that should depend on one or two players.
I had a broken sternum. It is painful and takes forever to heal.
They're just making excuses.
Oh yes he was such a hero. What a lion piece of s*** just cause you're lost oh. Then you gotta make up the excuses the other team was way better. That's the only excuse you need.
I think MT just got his brain scrambled and came up with an excuse!😂
Waaaaaaa. I got hit and want some sympathy. Just ignore all that dirty sh$t I did AFTER the injury and tell me what a warrior I am.
Yeeesh, this guys worse than that Greta Thunberg brat.
I think Florida learned a thing or two from this cup and I’m damn sure it humbled tkachuk and company a bit, but I can’t have heart for a player like him he’s dirty even after the whistle and he’s gotten way too many warnings throughout the season he deserved what he got, dont be a dick and expect to not get jerked around a bit.
Irrelevant. No other full- strength, healthy team was getting by Vegas. No weaknesses……
This playing through injuries fetishism is moronic. Wake me when a team rolling out top players with significant injuries actually lifts a cup. All they're doing is hurting their team to preserve their egos. I'll take a fresh AHL'er 10 times out of 10 over an injured superstar
Oh, the team full of goons and thugs got a wittle hurt? Cry me a river. They didnt deserve to BE there in the first place as the SEVENTEENTH best team in a league of THIRTY TWO TEAMS. And they left a wake of broken bodies and bones on EVERY TEAM THEY PLAYED. Tkachuk shouldnt have played because he should have been S U S P E N D E D. He should be in the minors on the third string. He should be sent to NHL school so he can learn the rules of hockey. I'm glad he broke his sternum. Couldnt have happened to a better guy.
