if the wings dont move up 2-3 spots in the standings and stay in the cellar alls for not on any of the players hes signed but that isnt gonna happen this team is gonna surprise the entire league this season bet on it! could be worse keeping clowns like zadina veleno both ken holland draft picks for wat theyve done in 5-6 years then there screwed as a contender?! however the focus isnt on them anymore steve just picked up 2 solid lines of players that will get them to the promise land and beyond so id say great timing for guys like kasper carter mazur cossa should be ready when some of them contracts expire in 1-2 years if steve doesn’t resign them but im guessing the position they get this team in they will get resigned when there contract is up depending on there performance might see some kids installed in there spots?! 🤷♂️🤔👍
Yes, you can't pay a defenseman 4 million to play on the third pair…unless he's Ben Chiarot I guess?
The money doesn't matter, you play the guys the minutes that make sense. If Gostisbehere plays lots of PP minutes, third pairing even strength minutes is fine. Just put him with Holl and keep Chiarot and Maatta on the second pair since we know what those two bring.

How has the team defence gotten better than last year. Hronek 25 RHD is traded out and replaced with Holl 31 L/RHD and Gotisbere 30 L/RHD. Hronek is better than these two combined. The argument that Hronek was not in the projected cup window is contrary to the moves to replace him.
