How One Hit Ended In Tragedy For Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead

Ole Miss Rebels QB Jevan Snead was once projected to be a 1st round draft pick from many experts however after a rough 2009 season and a concussion in the 2010 Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma State, Jevan Snead’s draft stock plummeted to the point where he went undrafted.

  1. We knew about concussions a decade ago. There just wasn't social media outcry schools had to deal with so they didn't care.

  2. Absolutely NO reason to hit like that other than with an intent to harm, make or even end a players career! In this case, end his life. This a-hole should have been brought up on at least manslaughter charges! No reason for it at all. NOT AT ALL!

  3. Btw, this video absolutely SUCKS and is NOT a tribute to this man. Its all over the place and misses points constantly. Junk video

  4. I just wanted to thank you for putting the hit and a realistic explanation at the start of the video to save time! šŸ¤˜šŸ¤˜

  5. I was in my middle school game and I went up to catch it and someoneā€™s helmet hit me in the stomach and I had internal bleeding

  6. Some football players play really angry and dirty. I wonder why? Maybe they have bad upbringings and little family attention? That is why most children who fight and bully come from bad homes. I know, I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and fully educated and trained in the area of child development.

  7. Iā€™ve had two concussions that I can recall. After the most recent one. Itā€™s so hard for me to remember the slightest things from just moments ago of where I put something or why I even came to a room. To the point it frustrates me to tears. I often just stare at my rifle some days and as embarrassing as it is to admit I just stare and cry. Cause I just donā€™t know whatā€™s going on most the time and I hide it very well.

  8. a kid in my school was paralyzed from a helmet to helmet contact ā€¦ the guy was trynna bulldoze him ended up paralyzing both of them

  9. Anyone whoā€™s been hit like that knows it really doesnā€™t hurt. Itā€™s more just confusing and disorienting with not knowing the idea of what up or down is. Usually your lights go out for a second then you wake up to the bright lights and canā€™t really hear much. This is the game though and no such thing as a defenseless player.

  10. He didnā€™t die from this hit so this video is highly misleading and anti football

  11. He didn't tackle him he Used his body and slammed into him .like a car would I saw what that bas'erd did

  12. Wow at blaming one hit for an entire career of blows to the head. Thatā€™s so dirty to pretend that OSU player had anything to do with Snead taking his own life a decade later. All the while you show the hit over and over and over again so you can get views from it. This ainā€™t the way

  13. The hit knocked his helmet off and he bashed his bare head into the turf, that was unbelievably brutal. Iā€™m sure there were other concussions too. I love the physicality but do we really need to try and kill each other to win a game?? Glad we are starting to take shit like this more seriously
