lmaoooooooooooooooooooo
I guess that means no trade…
This is just objectively hilarious
It’s not like we were going to get a big return anyway, but I just want one trade to go through properly. Everyone else knows Fletcher handcuffed Briere so he’s at least trying to fix stuff.
I audibly laughed sitting at my desk. This is hilarious
I mean it’s certainly an oddity that Carolina’s GM said in a press conference that the trade was still going to happen and then it didn’t.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out
At least we aren’t wasting a retention spot on him.
This is a win vs the rumored trade. Saves 2.5 mil on the cap and a retention slot to use at the deadline. Way more valuable than the low level prospect we would have got.
*damn it feels good to be a flyers fan*
Boy do I love giving up assets for a guy who we waive the next year! Just great GM work from Fletcher
Carolina got cold feet on the trade?
Everybody made it seem like it was a done deal just waiting to happen.

Thanks Fletcher!
Honestly not wasting a retention spot is a win for us
I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think the FO likes DeAngelo
This just shows you how inept, and out of touch, Fletcher and the old brass were with today’s league. Spending assets on guys like DeAngelo and Ristolainen…yikes
Chuck Fletcher should be prosecuted for what he did…
So, buying him out?
Bye Felicia
First jvr, then sanheim, now this
ALL EMPTY PROMISES WHERE ARE MY TRADES THE PEOPLE WANT TRADES
I think a buyout might actually be better. You could argue the extra retention slot at the TDL is more valuable than the low grade prospect we would have gotten. The two year cap hit won’t really have an impact either
Apologies for what will probably be a dumb question, but does this mean DeAngelo now is definitely going away one way or another?
Fuck you Chuck Fletcher
