I like this. I always enjoy expansion/realignment scenarios. Great to see the Whalers back, however unlikely that might be. I followed them the whole time they were in Hartford.

  2. HanSolo5643

This would be awesome. I think having all four of these teams back would be fantastic.

  3. ScoopKane

Love most of the division names, not sure who O’Brien is named after.

The proposed Smythe is awkward. Teams from three different time zones in one division?

  4. xBOOSTED_ST3

Just bring back Central Division. 🤘

  5. Crazy-Doritos

I want Nordiques to genuinely come back

  6. I’d love to see detroit back in the west where they belong but that’ll never happen.

  7. OakNLeaf

I like this, but one of the teams has to go in place of UTAH. No way is the NHL expanding to 36 teams and Utah isn’t one of them.

  8. bigtimechip

    Orange Oilers makes me cringe
We dont wear the Hi-vis jerseys anymore

  9. Schytzo

If we’re doing all this but not putting the Avs and Wings back together there is something wrong with us.

  10. jfstompers

Detroit isn’t going back west to get Hartford back in the league.

  11. ImportantAppeal700

Can Minnesota go back to being the North Stars?

  12. Icy-Audience-3656

When will people realize that hockey in Atlanta will NEVER WORK? They tried with the Atlanta Flames (now the Calgary Flames) and the Atlanta Thrashers (now the Winnipeg Jets). Get over it already Atlanta. Be happy that you have the Braves, Falcons and Hawks.

  13. 5280nessie_rider

I think you just created one of my 3 genie wishes

  14. wmbenham

This is the only thing that would bring me back to the NHL

  15. SuretyBringsRuin

Houston, laughable given the anemic support for the Aeros before.

  16. skol_sota

As a Wild fan. Absolutely not. Gone are the days of being the only central time zone team in the division.

  17. zoda_flea

I would be sad to see the pens and caps in different divisions again

  18. PhilThrill623

…and the Los Angeles Queens if They Had Balls. Who cares

  19. Millwaukee and Kansas City would likely get a team before Atlanta gets another shot

  20. Survive1014

Lets get Arizona shored up with a new owners, location and stadium before we expand.

  21. HockeyBabble

    #DELETE THIS!!

Makes way to much sense, and we cannot have that in this modern NHL.

    /s

  22. MediocreHusband

Wings back to being the only Eastern Time Zone team in the Western Conference. Detroit would hate this plan.

  23. L33TS33K3R

Hartford to the Adams, Toronto to the Norris, Nashville to the O’Brien and Washington to the Patrick and the Geography is much better….

  24. KungFuGarbage

God, Adams division would be so fucking sick

  25. luciusetrur

horrible aeroes logo, AHL logo or riot

  26. Allen_Koholic

Ah yes – Columbus, OH – the jewel of the south.

  27. PLB3Rnn

There’s a city called Quebec in southern USA?

  28. hollywoodhooks

Gonna do this in my next franchise mode on chel thanks man 😂

  29. Darth_Andeddeu

Calder should be the Gretzky division

    O’Brian should Be Salming division

    Gretzky for being Gretzky
Salming for being the first European NHLr in the HoF

  30. socrates1975

Well it would break up the atlantic division and make it easier for the wings to make the playoffs lol

  31. StumptownRetro

I think if Arizona folds like it should have by now they will become Houston’s team. And Portland with their WHL team would get great support and create instant rivalries with Seattle and San Jose. Also swap Vegas or San Jose with Minnesota.

  32. gamers542

The Patrick Division should be renamed the I-95 division.

  33. karmicnoose

Fuck Hartford, I want to play the Northeast teams, not the Florida teams

  34. CableFirst1727

Seems like MN would be an odd one out. The rest mostly make geographic sense.

The farthest travel for the NY/PA division would be NYC to Pitt @ a ~340 mile flight

The closest travel for MN to WPG would be ~400 miles in the air. The farthest would be Vancouver, with 2 hour difference, @ a ~1400 mile flight

A close second would be FLA Miami to Ohio @ 990 miles, but at least it’s North-South travel so they’re in the same time zone

  35. Kooldude777

Totally disagree to put 4 Canadian teams in same division, twice!!
This is surely a USA hockey fan proposal!

  36. SpartanDawg11

Scrap Atlanta. Move Detroit to the O’Brien. Shift Minnesota to the Norris. Add Salt Lake to the Smythe.
