I've been saying since about 2011-ish that Carey Price is probably the best technical goalie of all time. I'm old enough to have seen Roy and Brodeur play their entire career andeven they were not as good as Price on their positioning or their lateral movements. Carey Price ability to turn a tap-in goal into a pad save is something I don't think any goalie in history was able to do on the type of consistency that Price does. Oh and goalies before Roy and Brodeur don't matter. No disrespect to Dryden, Plante and everyone in between but they hadn't even learned to go in butterfly position yet. On a technical level these goalies were before the real technical mastery even started (thanks to videos and specialized coaches).
