I like this trade! Also, I'm in England, so I'm out of the loop. I have a question. I've seen so many negative comments about Winnipeg on social media. "He has gone from lovely Nashville to awful Winnipeg with no airport". Why is there so much hate directed at Winnipeg? I'm really curious.

He's been one of favorite players since played Portland WHL and wjcU20.
He will fit in and offense go up playing with Connor,scheifele,wheeler,ehlers,Dubois until he leaves.
And if he likes it here does well could be part of next rebuild when Dubois,if wheeler moves on,maybe scheifele.
If can get another guy like schmaltz who would have cheap cap hit and 3/4yrs term. Wouldn't have to worry as much about if current players wanted move on.
And I would like it if moved on from pionk/stanley got another Defenceman

I've got to give credit to Chevy on this trade. A good player with term & a reasonable contract for a 2nd pick two drafts from now is a steal. And this leaves a lot of assets on the table. The question is why would Nashville part with him for so little in return?

For a '24 2nd rounder only? With term at $4M?! Chevy took Nashville out back the woodshed. Let's hope he can find someone else to fleece (please get him the number to Arizona…Chychrun and Schmaltz?). GO JETS GO!

Very underrated trade. I’d say we still need a good 3rd liner like a Domi, + a top 4 dman and get Pionk out of there. Plus Perfetti coming back for playoffs ideally
I agree, very good move to acquire Neiderreiter, very solid second line guy that can
score. Now Chevy has to keep his foot on the gas and shore up the bottom 6 with
at least 2 players that can score. Over the last 30 games, our bottom 6 has about
just 3 goals, and Lowry hasn't scored since Dec11 /2022. This must be addressed.
I hope Chevy fixes this very bad problem the Jets have, and we'll be OK. Also Ehlers
needs to be given way more ice time than he's getting — I don't get it ??

Jets need another guy to slot In the middle 6, but getting Nino is a great step in the right direction. Jets bottom 6 need to step up because honestly, I love Lowry but ge is not a 3rd line player anymore. He needs to score more than 1 goal every 20-25 games
