Nah they definitely had to recognize this as wrong and punish it. It didn't affect the ongoing play that much in this game, but in another situation a play like this could cause some REAL controversy.

I see so much of this, no punishment. Yet when it happens to a leaf, especially their 2nd best guy, thereâs a fine for it. Try to tell me it doesnât have something to do with Toronto
Every once in awhile; there's a damned-dirty hit or play directly in front of the benches where I'm amazed at the restraint displayed by the boys on the bench. They stand up and may occasionally have a few words for the offender in question. Still, their hands remain motionless at their sides.
