im getting kinda tired of the constant Trade Nylander Rumors…. Its not happening…..
Im guessing Brad Tree is going to be shopping Liljgren for a bigger more physical defencman. Perhaps getting some salary retained if they make 2-2.5 mil. I think thats why were seeing alot of Zadorovs name come up. I would LOVEE to see a Zadorov, Wolf trade coming to toronto. but unfortunately without trading Knies or Nyander its not happening which theyre not.
Nylander for hannifin/ lindholm end of season sign n trade hannifin
Let Nylander walk to Ufa get the 10 mil and sign 2 good players at 5 mil each you will have a better balanced team
TML can't have 4 guys taking up $40+ Million on a roster, and Nylander for sure needs to go, along with Marner, would say Tavares but his NTC stops that. Still need to sign a Goalie, and need other pieces, but that negative cap hit is doing them no good, and going to be some tricky moves to get above cap at start of season. Not sure what team is going to want to give Nylander the $10mill contract, and have to give up players to make it fit, but GL to whatever team wants to do so.
It would have to be sonewhere Nylander would agree to sign with after this year, at a price he wants. He already has a 10 team no-trade list.
Calgary, Carolina have defence to trade. The RW starts to look pretty thin after Marner if Nylander leaves without at least a 6-7M winger replacement
I honestly would sign nylander for 9.5 by 8 and trade marner would get better return and yeah

I wouldn’t trade with Cgy. I would do this:
Nylander (27 y/o) for Konecny (26). Konecny is signed for 2 more years at 5.5.
Leafs give up the better player statistically but save cap space + add Konecny who can score and has some jam. Great for the 2nd line with Tavares. Nylander and Tavares just doesn’t work – we’ve seen it for years.

If your going to trade with Calgary, nylander and Lilgen for Lindholm and Hanifan. Do the numbers work for the cap? It would help if we knew the 10 teams Willy selected.
Nylander and his idiot Manager should have been traded BEFORE July 1st when his 10 team no trade list kicked in.
This Leafs d is way too soft and non physical to win in the very physical playoffs.
Leafs now have the softest d in the league imo.
The Leafs may just have to go forward with no expectations this year and look to make moves next year with loosing Nylander and possibly trading Marner. Murray goes to LTIR immediately based on his past expectations freeing up another 4+ mil.
It would be nice to know which teams are on Nylander's No Trade list. Many players, and their agents, are well aware of which teams are "likely trading partners" with their current team, and if the player doesn't want to leave, those likely trading partners are included on the No Trade list to make it tougher for the current team to move him. Calgary could easily be on that list.
Switch Bertuzzi for Jarny. Then bring up Knies for Jarny. But I love the Hanifian and Klingberg pairing. Lilly too offensive with a guy like Klingberg.

Knies Lindholm, Tavares
Yärnkrok, Domi, Lafferty
Can even see Domi slotting in that 2 pairing with Yärnkrok and Lindholm on tough nights
Zadorov instead of Hanafin
Even if the Leafs add Hanafin and kept Brodie their D isn't good enough for the playoffs. Plus Brodie isn't the real issue and probably could be resigned when his current deal is up for $2-$3M, he wants to be in TO.
