the day the lions became a better team was when we trade stafford. once brad fleeced the rams but still left them a ground to get to a super bowl proved how great he is.
Great show Mike. I have to give Brad Holmes a top 5 GM capabilities. He has proven himself. We have never had that before. Shelia and Chris did a great job. So happy to be a Lions cat. I never said that in my over 50 years of loving the Lions.

Am I the only one who noticed that the same experts who criticized the Lions pick of LB Jack Campbell were often the same ones that ridiculed the Lions having such a dreadfully porous, weak defense? Don't they realize that Campbell was just about universally viewed as the most complete #1 LB in the draft. It can be frustrating that some "experts' criticize anyone AND everyone no matter what that person does.

Top five GM. Love the way he does his job. Extremely refreshing, especially in this day and age. But it's a winning formula. Got to love it man
I don't know the rest of the GMs in the NFL, but Brad seems to me to be a freaking savant.

Brad Holmes spent 2 years on building both Lines. Got himself a wide receiver who moves the chains. This year he got those positions that he glossed over in years past. He has YOUNG talent ALL OVER THE PLACE!

I don't know enough about other GM's but based on 3 years in to a fantastic trade to start with. However, you can have 10 first round picks but if they don't play well who cares. Brad has nearly NAILED every pick in every round. Not all are working out but the majority of them are and thats what matters. He has done a great job in his first 3 years. He had an advantage in Jarod Goff in knowing his game and creating the right situation and players that fit Goff's game. Kills me how Goff was just over looked in trade. The dude was the 1st overall pick and took a team to the superbowl. Build a solid O-line and solid running game then play action, Goff is your man. #OnePride

Holmes is being crowned way too early. Saying "his picks have all panned out", goes with, all these picks have contributed. Did we just forget that his 2nd Round selections, have stayed the course with the last 5 to 10 years of Lions history? 2nd round selections that have not panned out? That is simply not true. Brad Holmes overdrafted some players.
What should be presented, "Had Holmes not moved up to draft Jameson Williams, who could have the Lions drafted instead? Or, even trade down, and get more picks. Who trades up to take a player, who is injured, that is not a Quarterback? That is the ONLY position you trade up for. WRs, are a dime a dozen. It's how you develop them, if you can, is what matters.
Super bowls just aren't important, I guess.
The idea that people were mad at the draft because of mocks is totally disrespectful to many of the most loyal fans. A lot of us hated the first round of the draft because we love the lions so much and it doesn't feel like the draft was win now when it feels like we had a shot to win now.
