I love to have Carter hart but it's like were giving up on Monty also I think Riley kidney is getting better every day

Dach will eventually be the 2nd line center. sadly we can not predict a lot about the players as we had too many man games lost. do not like this trade at all as we lose big time and Hart is not the solution

I think Dach will be the Habs no1 center in the near future a la Jean Beliveau style, tall, great two way player and he makes thing happen when he is on the ice, when was the last time the Habs had a talented 6'4 center as for Slafkovsky he is putting the work in the offseason and i think he as the drive to succeed and i think he will reach minimum 20 goals next season, Newhook will get top minutes with the Habs and will prosper with the Habs imo. i don't think we don't need to trade for Hart etc from the Flyers i am not sold on Carter Hart, great video Coach.
Why would Philadelphia do such a lopsided trade? If they are idiotic enough to do it do it.
This year players will play the full year. unlike the "Bedard sweepstake" year. I think we will surprise a lot of people and I expect they will be in the hunt for a playoff spot.
The fact is Habs are thin in net ..!! What if someone gets injured.?? Primeau ?? Does??? We need a legit starter..Hart ??? Hughes will find the best option when the time comes .!!
Considering our first half of the season last year, I could see us making it close to the wild card if a few rookies breakout. For me an important piece is Monahan and if he can stay healthy.
Ronnie Attard would be a great addition to the Habs d-core !! But Philly will want a lot in return ..!! Hart might fit ..but seems Hughes has other plans in net!!

Hi Coach, good questions and another great HABs Daily News on a variety of subjects. Me thinks that Dach will grow his game each month going forward and hopefully gain confidence with the faceoffs.. Newhook brings a lot of speed but will learn under St. Louis how to play without the puck and be available for increased touches. Newhook should watch and learn how RHP plays without the puck, his positioning and utilization of speed at specific times. Slaf at 18 has no need to rebound. Slaf at 19 will grow his game on the smaller ice and be part of the top nine if we can remove or trade away some of those veterans.
Q. – Will the Montreal Rookies be able to avoid the "sophomore jinx"?
Q.- It appears to me that Guhle has a major injury every year. ( Running tally of 5 years in a row now?). How does Montreal address that problem?
I dont hate the trade, but I'd rather like to see what Montembeault is going to do this year before adding another goalie with a 4M cap hit and RFA at the end of next year. If we could give them an extra 4th round pick for them to take Hoffman or Armia or even a 2nd round for them to take Gallagher then I'd do that trade.

You present an interesting and controversy rumor trade with Philadelphia. Q.- Why trade for Hart's numbers which are similar to Monty? . moving on, RH D-man 21 yr old Justin Barron is so much better and younger than RH-D-man 24 yr old prospect Ronnie Attard. What am I missing here? . Why give away a young proven quarterback in 20 yr old Riley Kidney?. his light weight? his skating? his attitude? . . Jakub Dobes. 22 yrs old, 6'4". He’s big … you can’t teach size. Jakub’s had a successful 2 yrs college and supposedly going to be a big piece of the puzzle going forward in Laval. Why give up on him? . . then, we give away a first round pick? Why? . Me thinks this trade only benefits Flyers and a big loss of Montreal assets.. Cheers
Carter Hart is not a necessary add, and especially so at that cost. A healthy Habs team, along with the other expectations that you mentioned being met, would result in 40 fewer goals against and the Habs joining that OTT/BUF/DET group…at least until mid-Feb. I think Matheson and Monahan are two key players that make the Habs a much better team when they are in the lineup.
The current roster is 25 Players, and it would be great to trade off 2 forwards, but the three candidates, Armia, Hoff, and DVO…well I don't think any GM's are phoning and asking about either of them.
i have plenty of trust in monty. dont need hart. we just drafted 3 goalies. promote from within!
im thinking we should keep going with the drafted former potential studs. refurbishing them, and improving our depth

As for trading that 2025 Calgary first rounder…That is a pick that could end up a top 10 and a chance to draft Gabriel D'Aigle, a LHJMQ Goalie with Elite potential.
I think adding RHP and Newhook to our lineup will surprise many and 92 points is possible. People will be amazed by the breakaway speed of these two players. Newhook will learn proper positioning without the puck through St. Louis and watching RHP. Cheers
Newhook’s 14 goals is encouraging. Even if he stays at 14-20 goals and ups his assists he’s easily a 40-50 point player.
About the trade, i know our window for the S.C. is opening soon, and i dont think any of our current goalies will be ready by then, but why add Ronnie to the mix? We have enough DMen coach.
I dont think we get to 80 pts this year.
