  1. lots of horrible contracts. Reminds you of the Canucks…
Good luck signing Lindholm with no cap space…

  2. Too bad… seems like Calgary is the best **fanbase to their team of all canadian teams. Opposite of let's say….. toronto?

  3. Markstrom – Goal tenders – tend the GOAL – He cost the flames a few games playing the puck VERY POORLY- the END

  4. given the situation in Calgary, with players keep wanting to leave, and with new GM and coaching; is both a longer term change needed and opportunity there?

  5. As an American the flames are my favorite Canadian team. Pulling for them

  6. The floodgates are open in calgary. They lost their top 2 lines, their top D pair, the GM and coach within a calendar year.
McDavid really sent the team into a forced rebuild after he won the battle of alberta easily.

  7. Calling it now, we just miss the playoffs and lose both Hanifin and Lindholm for nothing.

  8. You put off this team till near the end of the list and we still have no idea what theyll be haha.

  9. What's going to be interesting to me next season is the Flames goaltending. Markstrom's contract and NMC means he's going to get first chance, but he was brutal last season. Not only was his save percentage ghastly, he had an ugly habit of giving up soft early goals to put the Flames in a hole. He gave Vladar every opportunity to take the starter's job away from him, and Vladar couldn't do it (which probably cratered Vladar's trade value.)

At least if one of those two isn't much improved, Wolf will get a real opportunity.

  10. Come back to CO Naz….c'mon….just get in the bus and come back. You know you want to.

  11. Walker Duehr to me is on the rise on the right side. Lots to be excited about with Zary and Pelletier as well. I think the Flames should unload their vets on expiring contracts who are wanting out, and go with more youth and speed throughout the lineup. Hopefully they don’t swap vets out for vets. There’s enough there in place to build around, where a rebuild doesn’t need to take as long as a total strip down would. Take a step back for a couple seasons so that you’re turning the corner in time to move into the new building should be the game plan. You’re stuck with Hubey, Kadri, and Weegar. Not much you can do about it now, so Conroy needs to surround those guys with youth, and go from there.

  12. Flames are the most poorly managed team. Last 2 years have been brutal

  13. I think the Flames are the most likely team to replace the Jets in the playoffs this coming season

  14. As a Flames fan , this has been a brutal couple of years to go through. Hope our big names can rebound , hope some young guys can surprise , hope we can get some good returns on the players wanting out , and I hope this year goes better than everyone is predicting. Unfortunately , hope can be a dangerous thing sometimes.
