Reinbacher better pan out. Askarov may be a generational goalie, and#15 Wood+#24 Molendyk, oof🥵, let's hope we made the right choice. 🥴
smart decision by Hughes to stick with the 5th pick in Reinbacher, the other teams had nothing worth in exchange imo, next season we may pick out of the top 10 in the draft so keeping the 5th was the thing to do. great video Coach and GO HABS GO.
Bon matin coach. When you think about it, we would have had a young elite goaltender, Newhook, plus two more 1st round picks. That was a good offer and undoubtedly hard to turn down.
We had to try to move up or keep it, I just can't see an offer being worthy a #5 pick in a very deep draft. We should understand that we're lucky to get Reinbacher because of the injuries cause the CH isn't that bad at all!
Can’t wait for the season to begin with a known lineup…then as they say, the rubber hits the road, legends are made and NHL pathways determined…let’s get it going.

They should still pursue Askarov!
Primeau is never going to play regularly for Mtl at the NHL level and should be moved.
The Canadiens desperately need a G for Laval who can be called up when needed as the 3 drafted rookies are not ready.
If Barry Trotz felt that Reinbacher was worth trading Askarov for then, Hughes made the right decision. Just looking at highlights of Reinbacher, you can see this kid possesses natural abilities & skill along with a pretty good hockey sense. The future will tell us for sure but I’m confident in Hughes decision.
Askarov, 15 and 24? I would have bitten their hand off receiving that haul! That would have been a great trade.
