The Toronto Maple Leafs and goaltender Ilya Samsonov are $2.5 million apart in salary arbitration filings. Samsonov filed at $4.9 million while the team submitted at $2.4 million, with a hearing scheduled for Friday.   1. He’s still injury prone and has bad playoff numbers. His regular season numbers are inflated by having a great team.

    Look at Soup. You can’t overpay a leafs goalie who has an above average season. Number is going to be low 3mil

  2. That's a really big number from samsonov's side, been pretty average until last year where he was a bit above, not sure how that justifies asking for near 5.

  3. Who is Marty Biron? NEVER heard of him. He obviously has NO IDEA of what he's talking about. Samsonov- 3M AT THE MOST. Dubas REALLY SCREWED this team with the contracys he gave out over the last 5 years.
