Our Locked on Summer Road Trip continues! This time we head north to the great state of Michigan and check in with hosts of Locked on Red Wings, Brian Fisher and Scott Bentley! Of course we discuss the signing of J.T. Compher. Are Brian and Scott ok with the AAV? We also discuss one of the guys who brought these two fan bases together in Darren Helm, of called it a career this offseason.

We dive into this exciting offseason the Wings have had so far, and is now the time to take that next step and push for a playoff spot, like the did last year but this time punch their ticket for the first time in a long time?

  1. If you are old enough, you were fortunate enough to watch the Avalanche and Red Wings rivalry back in the day. Those were the days of rock em sock em hockey.

  2. I totally remember this rivalry. I really want to say the Avalanche and Red Wing rivalry really gave NHL a media bump. People really tuned in back then.
Now I'm trying to understand why Detroit is constantly rebuilding??

  3. I'll miss JT! He did tons of dirty work for the Avs for several years. Killing penalties, standing up for his mates, dirty work in front of the net, the guy probably lead the team in face washes per 60!
