Im a 87 to 90. Snappers and slappers.
Depends on weight and strength.
Ovi best shooter in the game and isn’t in the video!
Old days someone would have said heavier is better for handing out the lumber !
It seems nuts to all of my varsity high school teammates but I played all season with a 50 flex stick
122!?! Bruh
I wonder what's Elias Pettersson flex?
I've always liked a stiffer shaft.
Makar using a 95 flex is unbelievable. the flex on his passes and wrist shots is wild
Weird flex but ok
110. Extra long. And im a center
In pe the sticks are 1 flex
Brett Hull was the guy using 65s or something he’s the og
Ovechkin uses 75 if anyone is wondering
Its a travesty that Ovi wasnt on this. Best goal scorer of the generation, Stammer too. Want to see the guys who shoot lazers
Wonder if any player uses 50
Oh, you mean the hockey stick .
A big thing you should also ask is, kick style. High, mid or low. Found this out way too late that Mid kick point fits best for me. Uncut 87 flex P88 (Winger, 180lbs 5'10) like butter to me.
Victor flexing with his 122 flex 🙂
Chara: 155
I was ahead of my time. When these sticks first came out everyone was using 100-110 flex. I used to buy intermediate sticks to have more whip. Now it’s the norm.
jack hughes: cut down so probably like an 81
immediate jumpcut to stick folded in half
yeah okay
This was a really cool video. It was interesting to hear the players explain their own reasons for their particular stick flex. Part 2 please!
would have liked to see Ovi, Mika and a couple more guys with absolute cannons on this list as well
Watching this video kept reminding of how much I hate those between period player interviews with their mindless questions. This question was super interesting, and I could come with lots more.
I was playing with like 65 flex and got made fun of… everyone else was using like 100+ flex on my rec league team… I guarantee not one of us was as strong as an NHLer
The old two piece aluminum must have been crazy stiff. What was Gretzkys I wonder . Ovichekin is probably 120 atleast.
Sid goat
This. This is the main driver behind scoring being up across the board.
Of all things the nhl had tried and failed at. All it took was for whippy sticks to be viewed as not un manly
crazy how hockey has evolved so much in 5-10 years that the sticks have changed accordingly
122💪
I almost changed my sicks flex after the first 3 mins… LOL
Love the cut of Crosby obliterating a 2 piece stick as he's talking using them and why he uses a stiff flex lmfao
Make a video about what’s ur day of the week
Should've had special guest Zdeno Chara xD
lol i played with like 110 flex or something i believe or atleast 100.. mind you im 6ft6 and was 250 lbs when I played..
I like to use 110 (I am 187cm and 85kg), anything that is 80 or lower feels like a pool noodle. 95 is meh but still too whippy and 100 is okay.
If these guys are 200 lbs of muscle using 75 flex, when will they make 50-60 flex in adult size for the rest of us? It's only fair!
I want a part two but with maybe ullmark and erik karlsson in it. Would be interesting. Speically erik karlsson
I used to use around 110 because I’m more of a battling type, but 90 is better imo
I cannot believe that Crosby doesn’t use an 87 stick
Can you do a video of what your stick length is?, meaning where the stick goes to on skates, nose or chin etc…
Mines 80 flex
Bro used 102 flex when he was younger bro must’ve been built
I use a 50 flex lmao
