It’s a lot easier to see the ego and immaturity when you are in your 40s and 50s. The life style these young NHL players are exposed to has them constantly surrounded by other incredibly wealthy people and wealth is the measuring stick unfortunately in those circles.
Its unfortunate and a total failure of the salary cap that players cannot get paid what they are worth and also play on a team built for a stanley cup.

Unfortunately these guys will probably go through the same thing Shaq did and realize it 20 years too late. They have agents and family in their ears 24/7 and all their told is to worry about the money, which isn’t a surprise since we all know the team would not do any favours for them. It’s pretty rare for a whole team to “buy in” and take less to win a championship.
