When A Rookie Sidney Crosby Got ‘Bullied’ in the NHL

Before Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, and Nathan Mackinnon were targeted in the NHL.. Sidney Crosby was the shining example of getting extra attention. In this video, we break down a moment where Crosby proved to the league (especially the Philadelphia Flyers) that he would not be intimidated.

  1. Thanks for this. And who stood up for him has always been my question. Please address that. Why did his line not swarm Hatcher? Someone on the next line crosscheck Hatcher in the face? Why? Please do a piece on the years he was left unprotected by his team mates.

  2. I’m a Flyer fan but I respect Crosby. However, I have zero respect for the Penguins organization, especially when they never made an effort to protect their star players like a real hockey team would.

  3. Clean hits are one thing but these dirty plays are a whole nother. That stuff doesn’t belong in hockey imo

  4. Honestly, what i personally would like to see is a rookie superstar take some sick revenge (like perhaps leaping off the feet to board or an unexpected cross check to the teeth… maybe even a headbut), get suspended for three games, then come back and when playing yhe same team/playwr again, right off the face off, take another round of sick revenge. Double vengeance. Then serve out a six game suspension wkth the deal that when he gets back, the team will protect him and he'll drop the dirty shīt and get back to superstar play. Imagine this with Bedard. Honestly, it would be a massive controversy and be all over the headlines. The conversation would be started about how to protect finesse players and Betmann would have to at least pay attention. It could lead to a shift in the league and remove some of the cheap shots. Honestly, i think if Bedard did it amd then people like Crosby and McDavid had his back, there would have to be a change. At the very least, i think others would stopp taking overt liberties with Bedard. It doesn't matter how tough of a bully you are, the human weak spots are the same. Broken backs. Broken mouths. Noses. Concussions dont care about your height and weight. I would really just like to a season where there is some monumental push back and also if God woukd grant me one last gift, I'd like to see it result in the return of the enforcer… and with this sea change, also usher along a changing of the guard with Betmann moving on.

  5. Got abused like no other rookie superstar before and still put up 100+ points in his rookie season. People who call him a crybaby are metro division fans that have been absolutely tormented by Sid

  6. Worst ran league in the world. Get generational prospects and do nothing to protect them.

  7. No one got "Bullied"…it's a physical, aggressive sport. Crosby couldn't handle the physical, and then whined about it. Saying that he "got bullied" is a cop out, an attempt to victimize him and in turn justify his crying whiny immature behavior.

  8. i like all your videos dude, but i like the analytical ones a bit more. the ones about mcdavids processing speed and conor bedards shooting motion and how it opens up his dekes got me hard

  9. Always LOVED this rivalry since I was a huge Crosby & Pens fans and my best friends was a Phili fan

  10. There are still dirty players who should be in padded cells and not allowed to carry hockey sticks or any other kind of weapon. Black hawks have hired in two psychos to protect Bedard because they know that the Refs and Player Safety will do nothing to protect the skill players ever. NHL was a joke and it still is that way.

  11. I think they should drop the gloves and kick the s hit out of anyone who fks with them…anyone.

  12. Crosby still the best after the Wayne and Mario days. He just gets it done and shows up in all the big games. Ovechkin is a goal scoring machine and such a physical package, McDavid is some kind of out of this world talent with the things he can do and how fast he does it but Crosby just finds a way to help his team win when it counts more so than any of them. OV came through with a Cup and McDavid is knocking on the door but to captain 3 Cups and 2 Olympic Golds with a target on his back and the spotlight on him every night, Man, what a player.
