Pretty sure most of the fan base that’s been around awhile is actually the opposite. For me, I have zero expectations and emotions. They’ve let me down so many times it doesn’t even hurt when they lose.

I’ve been a casual fan most of my life (by which I mean I know enough to get by, I occasionally watch highlights, heard about the Zamboni incident, dread Boston, and recently discovered Steve dangle)
Recently at 30 decided to actually watch a leafs season from start to finish for the first time
And so I have only one thing to ask all of you TALK ME OUT OF IT!!!!!
I know it’s gonna end badly but some part of my brain actually believes I should watch, and that this is somehow the year, Wtf is happening to me? Why do I actually believe a team that hasn’t won since my MOTHER was 3 years old is going to somehow pull through
