Maybe with Ekholm and Kane back this team can become a winner when it's leading. But one thing I know Holland is mediocher at best. He could of tried for Fleury. Couldn't do worst. cambell and Skinner better up there game
Ekholm was exactly what Edmonton needed. He has that Veteran Leadership and that is something the Oilers lost when Keith and Smith left. Every great team needs that mix of young and older players. When the young players get hot headed or start to slump it's the Vets that have the experience to help guide and mentor. This is a fantastic trade. He can show the rest of the D-core that when everyone does their job we can beat any team in the league. Keep the other team out of the zone and let our heavy firepower do what they do best. Big shift for Edmonton. Look at the impact years ago that Chris Pronger had on the Oilers. That one guy changed the momentum of the whole team. That's why they call it the power of one.
Glad you guys have discovered yet another Predators defenseman that has been underrated for far too long. Glad to see him get the love he deserves…he will be missed here in Nashville.

Ekholm played 38% of Nashville’s toughest matchup vs only 29% Josi so Ekholm was they’re best defenders.
