I hope McBain gets a good deal, he’s been great for AZ. Likes to hit and deal out the pain. 💪😤 Nemeth was painful to watch, didn’t belong in the NHL.
Cooley, Bedard, and Slafkovsky are the only players in the league right now with maximum bonuses on their ELC’s.
As long as they can get a player that either can replace most of the offence Nylander gave or a top right Hand D they will be better off. Players I would trade for Nylander like Brady Tkachuk , Lindholm , Pesce, Weegar. Some of these trades would need other players or assets added and I am NOT saying any of these players would agree to trade to those teams just saying there are a lot of options we can try to trade for Nylander that will not hurt the team at all .Toronto needs to fix their defense, and even losing Nylander I feel their forwards are better then last year with addition of Bert and Domi and Knies so would not be screwed without Nylanders points.
Samsonov has gone on record to say he pronounces his name SAMsonov, not SamSOnov, fyi.
People are talking about the runblad situation without knowing that he was traded for Kyle Turris, the franchise's 1st line center for like 5 years

TBH Leafs are not going to win the cup for atleast 2 more years. They have too much money tied up in the core 4. Trade Nylander for picks and a gritty RWer. Keeping Nylander will be a huge distraction. Next off season you tell Traverse his next deal if he wants to stay in TO will be 5.5 to 6 mil AAV. Thats will free up money to sign players they need to win.

If you can trade nylander for lindholm and zadorov, then trade Brodie , get pesce or maybe extra winger that can grind and score perfect. If not still trade nylander and set up the best possible moves. But enough screwing around with him and get on with business , start team complete at beginning of year. Start good play great enjoy.
