  1. I am a die hard Sens fan and I haven't seen a single other Sens fan say that we are the best team in the Atlantic or even close.

The expectations are that we will make the playoffs but this is an exaggeration.

  2. They do it to everyone…
Its what bugs rest of canada/other markets they believe some kid taken in 3rd round is better then anyone on other rosters. And the media covers them all the time shoves it in our faces even when they arnt the domestic team.
Id say rn the guy most teams and fans hate/undervalue is Mark -Scheifele for right or wrong when not one player on some of these teams will score 80+ points and 42 goals.

-Another underated guy not talked about is Pettersson 102pts on bad team.

    -NoahDobson,BrockNelson not talked about.
    -Keller Airizona
    -JaredMCann seattle
-RNH 102pts i know if was on a team without MCDAVID and Draisaitl he would be around 70pt player.
-Montour looking like a 5th dman in buffalo to scoring 73pts.
-Verhaeghe has found a home florida from ECHL to 42goals 76pts.
-Skinner was hated for contract after leaving hurricanes but scored 82pts
    -Kempe 41goals with Fiala

They would be 4th liners to dilusional fans for some of these teams.
They would say hes decent but never mind matthews/suzuki they arnt even as good as Slavkovsky/Robertson/Lillegren/Hutson lol

  3. I guess it depends on where you go and where you read. I'm in Ottawa and in my circle and where I've read online, I don't think it's accurate to suggest that Sens fans are thinking we're going to be the best team in the Atlantic. Everyone I've talked to has suggested 20 to 25 goals is sorta what they're expecting for Tara at this point. I also haven't heard non-Sens fans trash Tara either. I think you might be looking at pretty extreme ends of the discussion maybe 😉 The overall Ottawa sentiment is that we HOPE we can make the playoffs.

  4. as sens im expecting 25 goals 50 points. with norris healthy, adding kubalik and tarasenko the team is looking good and a lot deeper.

  5. I'm a lifelong Blues fan, and Tarasenko is still my favorite Blues player even though he is gone and is not likely to ever come back. The guy competes much harder than he is given credit for and when he is healthy there are few better scorers in the league. Just two years ago he set his career highs for assists and points and had another 30 goal season. Last year the Blues sucked, he had some nagging injuries, and then never found a line combo that he fit great with in NY — he still managed 50 points and 30+ assists and was one of the only guys for NY who looked alive throughout that series against NJ. Ottawa isn't likely getting a 40 goal scorer or a guy who will compete for a Hart. But they're getting a competitor who's gotten a Cup, is a proven clutch postseason player, and if healthy in the regular season is basically a lock for 30 goals and 65-80 points. If all goes according to plan, his numbers will be right where they've always been, and I would not be surprised to see Ottawa make the playoffs. Tarasenko has seemingly been derided by Blues fans and even fans of other teams for never becoming the second Brett Hull. If he'd never gotten injured to begin with, I'm sure people would be talking about his career differently. Even with the injuries, he's managed to remain a productive player. I'll be rooting for Ottawa this year.

  6. Blue guy here. Ottawa, you got an awesome player with a high level of compete and one of the best wrist shots. Importantly, he is a clutch playoff performer.

  7. Sens 2022-2023 (pre-deadline)
    – Alex Debrincat

    Sens 2023-2024
    – Kubalik
    – Tarasenko
    – Korpisalo
    – Chychrun
    – One year of growth for all the youngins

It isn't the fact that Tarasenko is the end-all for the Sens, but rather the totality of all the additions that make us excited for next season. ADC was a great player, but we have a lot more depth now at all positions.

  8. Bro has lowkey always been overrated. He’s never won any big award. No 100 point season. Guy is overrated. Yeah a 1X5 is actually a good contract kill for this guy and will add experience to this young sens squad and yeah they might make the playoffs but that’s literally it man

  9. Senko and Kubalik combined will give us more goals than DeBrincat I'd say confidently I'd expect 20 goals from Kubalik and around 30 goals for Tarasenko and those 2 cost less than DeBrincat would along with Norris back and healthy Sens are gaining goals but are definitely still not a top 5 team in the East

  10. I see far more fans of opposing teams saying brain broken shit like "still won't make playoffs" and "tarasenko is washed" then Sens fans thinking they signed McDavid. Sad how pathetic Leafs and Habs can get.

  11. Sens are going to be good this year. I think they will be pushing for playoffs at the end of the year.

  12. Tarasenko has almost eternally been underrated. Dude consistently put up steong seasons with the Blues, won a Cup with them, and seemed to always take a backseat to one player or another. Give this man his proper respect.

  13. I wouldn’t say he’s washed. His game is still the same. Just hasn’t had that scoring touch he once had. Maybe it’ll come back with a fresh new scene.

  14. Sens fans know that he just filled a hole in the line up that makes the team better. If teresenko can get 25 goals, that’s 25 more goals than the Joseph goals that he pushed out if the line up. He going to be a second and third line winger. That make the Sens three lines very competitive.

  15. He had a career season in 2021-2022 with 82 points in 75 games. 1.09 points per game putting him at 90 had he played the full season. One down season, let’s see if he can bounce back. He has all the reason in the world to play at the top of his game going into 2024 free agency.

  16. It was a good move. But I think the Sens fans are more excited by the fact that it's literally only Debrincat out, and realistically Norris, Kubalik, Tarasenko in. More like 27 goals out and potentially 75-80 in….

  17. Bro being a sens fan I haven't heard one sens fan say we are cup bound wtf we are fighting for a wild card at best when the time comes

  18. Not that I’m expecting this, and I will seriously laugh hard if it does happen; but what if Tarasenko does develop chemistry with Stutz or Norris and scores like 40 and gets 80+ points? What kind of contract would he be looking for next year? 8yrs @8.5 mill? It would be absolutely crazy to pay that for an aging winger, even if the cap goes up!

  19. I don’t know where you found any Sens fans talking about Tarasenko being a Rocket Richard candidate, all we needed is a 2nd line winger who can score 20-25 goals and we got it in Tarasenko
