I hope for the best from every Hab player, when people say to me "what Hab player do I dislike?" I can't think of any. I don't blame the players, I say "who signed them?' Some players who have size and skill, can't bring the compete level, when they are invisible, it mystifies me. Not every player will have Gallagher's Kahunas…you can't motivate everyone. Like Bruce, you have to be "Born to Run"

You were NOT Hyped when the Habs drafted Slafkovsky or Reinbacher.. HAHAHA!! In your defense, not many people were.. I know you are totally on board now. But Seriously, it's fine to be excited when a new players gets a chance to play in Montreal. And Gurianov was actually good in the first few games after he was traded. So it could have been a steal.
I'm excited about the upcoming season. Dach didn't blow it out of the water since he was traded to Montreal but he's been improving and looked great for a guy Chicago gave up on. I don't think Colorado gave up on Newhook. I just think they had limited space and limited cap room. I'm confident that he's going to have a record season in Montreal, just like Dach did last season. I'm really happy Hughes traded for Dach. His ceiling is so high. We have yet to see Newhook play for the Canadiens but I feel it in my gut that I'm going to like the guy just as much as Dach.
I know it's early but I look forward to see what Heineman can do next season in the NHL. The guy can skate and he has a quick release. I liked what I saw last season in Laval and if the guy can take that scoring touch to the NHL, it will be fantastic! He can score in so many ways. He can one time it on the PP or skate up the ice with the puck at top speed and get a precise shot off.. He reminds me a lot of Russ Courtnall, one of my favorite hockey players when I started really following the Habs..
The other thing that I'm excited about is the Canadiens got better by subtraction. They made the team better by letting Drouin and Gurianov/Dadonov go. The also traded away Edmundson. This leave room for positive change, Like Heineman, Newhook and more ice time for all the young defensemen. Hopefully they can unload Armia before the season starts.
