Well to be fair the one team that came the closest was the Canucks. They were pretty much single handedly stopped by an American goalie. Tim Thomas was an unstoppable force in that series. The riot made it all the better lol. And I guess the 18 Canadian players on that teams as well.

I don’t care if the players are Canadian. Canadians are a big driving force as far as fandom is concerned, that supports the NHL, and Bettman has been making the rules and fashioning the game to sell it to the US, and that has so far resulted in no Canadian cups.
It’s not all him, like of Toronto didn’t always choke so hard, they could have had a chance. Senators came close.
I’m bummed that Montreal or Ottawa haven’t won a cup in that much time, and lots of American teams have.
That said, I wouldn’t feel *much* better if like Vancouver won one, but, a little better lol.
