Agree Quinn & JJ are no longer prospects. Anything over 25 games played in the bigs is no longer than a prospect.
Leafs nation is proud of their core 4 & just making the playoffs. Just like Matthew's & company
I can agree that once you are no longer eligible for the Calder.. youāre not really a prospect anymore. UPL, Power, Peterka, and Quinn all played this season on the big teamā¦ next year they are NHL players..Kulich, Ostland, R. Johnson, Savoie, Bensonā¦and Leviā¦ those are prospectsā¦. I think Power has a better chance because Dahlin was expected to be the manā¦ Power has Dahlin in front of himā¦ he can relax and not try too hard.
I think Benson will cause a tough decision to be made when he gets on the ice. Thanks Wayne
I believe that the level of Calm that Levi and Power have could be infectious and spread among the team this year. Seeing these two young studs stay calm under pressure, should help the Sabres turn the corner and become a consistent Cup threat!
After living a year in Toronto (during the Quinn era) im not suprised by the Leafs struggles as every single thing they do is scrutinized under a microscope by media and fans alike. It's not easy playing in a market where your vilified by opponent's fans and held in contempt by your own fanbase. If Toronto ever breaks there hoodoo then the entire roster should get free drinks in Toronto until the end of time! š (for comparison i also lived in Edmonton around the 06 run and Oilers fans were way easier to rub along with.)
Levi for sure is the top young player, he can win Calder this year still, after that, Benson, Savioe, Kulichā¦Rousek is a guy I highly recommend for Sabres this year. At first I was thinking best young players then I answered Benson because he is amazing

REVENGE is a dish best served cold! Hey Wayne remember years ago when Kevin Lowe the Oilers GM signed Thomas Vanek to an offer sheet and Buffalo had to match it . ? Well , Evan Bouchard is an RFA Dman on the Oilers who is comparable to Owen Power , too bad Adams couldnt throw an offer sheet his way as Holland still has to sign Macleod and this would really screw him up! š
I know this has ZERO chance of happening since Adams already has 9 D men on the roster now ( most likely going with 8 D, 13 forwards and 2 goalies this season ).
Prospect wise with Quinn out until Jan and a possible and hopeful Olofsson trade soon that would leave 2 openings on this falls forward group. Kullich and Rousek would be the most logical choices but my choices are Kullich and Benson. Remember Cozens made the jump right from the WHL to the NHL and from what ive seen and read about Benson , i think he can make the jump too. Regardless , training camp and the exhibition games should be very intense.!

Keep Quinn out for the year in LTIR rehab mode. we dont need him try to rehab on the ice at the end of the season and playoffs.
