  1. Love this channel, mate. A nice bandaid on my hockey itch until next season starts. 🥹

  2. Arber Xhekaj is listed as a first round draft pick on my list , typo . He was undrafted. But ofcourse in my heart he was first overall , lol

  3. I think one more year of bein' a bit stinky, and next season should be a lot of fun. I mean, all that potential cap space in the summer of '24? That looks like a prime time to go shopping for "back to school clothes" for the young bloods XD.

  4. IMAGINE if we manage to snag a guy like Ivan "The DemiGod" Demidov! He's a talented power forward projected to go top 5.
He would also be added to the list of Habs forwards that are as effective on the wings as in the center! It's HUGE to have, for line combination, special teams, but also injury management.

We're also in a good trajectory to be able to field TWO equally good goalies from our system. No longer will post Seasons rest on the shoulder of a single player (I have 2014 PTSD… Freaking sus way to ram into our goalie eh).

The big thing imho is that we're going to be one of the few teams that will field 75%+ of players from ou developpement system/drafted by us. It's the Bolts playb ook. And as for contracts for so far, it's close to a discount culture à la Boston.

    Awesome stuff!!

  5. The rebuild is getting close. Next summer Montreal should have around 26 million in cap space with pretty well everyone signed…..

  6. Key phrase: YOUNG reclamation projects. Not, way over the hill-last gasp of greatness-reclamation projects

  7. Montreal is basicly a group of friends form scholl who decide to create a hockey team to win 24 stanley cup and the coach is the favorite players dad . Everyone even in the organisation is so young and I'm so hype to see Guhle to be the next Weber men this team have so much great talent next season will be crazy !

  8. The legit prospect pool is as good as I have seen in decades. Stay the course Kent and find room for some young blood

  9. I think we still need another natural goal scorer. I’m hoping some of that young talent on the back end could potentially be used as trade bait for a top 6 forward.

  10. “All together, they worked a young team to the top and now a 25th Stanley Cup banner will hang from the rafters of the famous Bell Centre!!!!”

  11. The hey need a dam goalie. The players they have are so small that they will get freight trained

  12. Honestly I was so optimistic about the rebuild before the draft & I’ve just been so upset ever since, like sure Reinbacher is a good player but I would’ve taken 5 other guys before taking him. I’m sure he’ll be good for us but holy fuck do we need a superstar… if only we had one available to us… oh wait
This management group had my full trust even after taking Slafkovsky, but now I just think they’re complete fucking idiots & there’s no reason to be hopeful or optimistic about the future.
You can disagree but that’s how I feel. I’ve felt so disconnected since Price said “David… uhhhhh”

  13. I can’t wait till they start winning and I’d say we’re 2 to 3 years from being a playoff contender

  14. Stay the course build from the net out and moulding D men is painfully slow but we got fine material now. Control our end of the ice the offence needs grit and finish. Go Habs Go

  15. I'm gonna be Pissed if Logan M isn't given the green light ! We have a surplus of great young talent coming up so I say pick the cream of the crop and package some young promising assets to trade for a high pick or a top goalie prospect. Hopefully Monty is hitting his stride and will get some help from our defence who are maturing and getting better. And Please get someone in that can do something with our powerplay ! Great show Matt ! Keep em coming ! GHG

  16. anticipation all the good things for this new iteration of habs. LOVE IT. this is shaping out to be a very tolerable rebuild

  17. I expect Slafkovski to score 20 goals this year. I am so pumped for the season to start. Heck I can't wait till rookie camp. Bring it on already!

  18. Dude I absolutely love all the Habs content you put out weekly. Please keep it coming 🙏

  19. I really hope we're not considering Newhook a "rehab" option. He's so young. Hopefully he gets a few goals early on to keep people focused on something other than shitting on our newfie

  20. So far, so good but still lacking that 1 special player. Who knows, it maybe one of the prospects. After all, big fish start off as small fish.

  21. I was born in the 90s, it's the first time in my life I can look at the Habs prospects and roster and think "in 2-3years time, it'll be real fun". Love this management. Now the big problem is 2years in a row of breaking every single injuries related records in this 100years old league…

  22. There's one little detail that got me tickin in your vid i otherwise really enjoyed : i don't think Engstrom is underrated at all in the Habs system, his name is mentionned a lot more often than Kostenko and Nurmi who are also doing realy well . Kostenko has now established himself as a full time reliable guy in the KHL and Nurmi who already had an encouraging breakout year the season prior to that one did even better this time around as he racked up 14 assists in the very low scoring league (best scorer in the league, one of his teammate at HPK only got 25 goals in 60 games, so 14 assists for a young D is quite promising)

  23. Pezetta and Ylonen will not be around by time this team is legit.Last years draft was terrible I hoped for 2-3 top end forwards and we got NONE.The draft before was good however we could have had Nemec if we needed aRH defenseman so yeah seems management doesn't really have a plan come the draft and just winging it.
Struble,Mailloux and Trudeau should have been penciled in as guarantee to be part of a winning team meaning ANY thought of drafting another defenseman should have been eliminated.
So this tells me management besides not having a clue has no confidence in our defense core that we already had BEFORE taking Reinbacher.Well so happens pretty much the ENTIRE planet recognized our defense prospects so how our management didn't consider them good enough tells me >>>not a clue.
Further more I never trade away first round picks that was something we learned from the days of Sammy Pollock unless of course your getting a legit first line player of which we did not but instead we got a second line and third line player for 2 firsts and a second…/sigh sad times.
