I just saw an article on Yahoo about a recent Michigan Supreme Court decision that keeps critical care going for people who have suffered in car accidents and referenced Vladimir Konstantinov. If the current critical care was to be ceased, then Vladdy would have lost the financial and medical support he still relies on. I'm glad to see that Vladdy and all those who have suffered with life changing injuries due to car accidents will still be able to receive the care they need.

So Kraken might be off the hook in regards supporting it.

I think the problem is that the Kraken has entrusted inexperienced social media and marketing teams with a lot of responsibility and not much accountability – it's not the only instance where issues arose that an "adult in the room" with savvy would have seen coming. The response was problematic as well (takedowns but no statement) and shows inexperience (the equivalent of pouting children forced to clean up a mess instead of standing behind their damn player). It's similar to the marketing team that spent the entire year wasting time and money on failed attempts to make "Hoist the Colors" work.
Also, as has been pointed out elsewhere, the problem has been a very tiny subset of #BookTok – it's the subset that the Kraken's SMT had embraced, which is the issue, not BookTok in general.
So what happens if arbitration ends up putting the team over of the cap limit?

Would love to see a video where you let us know how much you value the specific traits of a player and what you think makes a player great. Possibly a tier list or just general discussion. Looking at things like stickhandling, hitting, leadership, shooting, discipline, IQ, speed etc… and let us know which traits you value most and which are more like cherries on top.

As a big time Kraken fan, the booktok situation has been incredibly weird (and frustrating!) I didn't know a lot about it personally, outside of a few passing mentions on their youtube videos and the reddit threads, but the more i've heard about it the more it's just felt so skeevy. Wennberg is a kind and classy guy, who unfortunately kind of became an unofficial face that triggered some boyband fan tendencies in some people, I guess? But, my perspective is that the Kraken initially kind of egged it on because it was drumming up engagement, but the second his Wife was like "No, this is weird, please stop" they have immediately gone and removed their published vids and respected her wishes, and for that I think they did good. But, I think they should also take this opportunity to make a statement of support for the Wennberg family, and of equality in general. The statements made toward Wennberg would not be tolerated if it were towards a woman, and so it should be the same towards all genders (And i am saying this as someone who has been called woke scum on numerous occasions.)
