I’m going to say Necas. No reason to think that he won’t be as good as last season, and if the pace remains the same as it’s been with his growth, he may be even better. Svech would be my second choice.

Look at all those years with leading scorers in the 50s or low 60s. No wonder there were no playoff appearances during that time. (20/21 is obviously an exception since it was a shortened season.) Stats from those years with Maurice behind the bench where the only real hope for a W was that Ward would stand on his head and get a shutout and there would be a lucky bounce on the other end for a Canes goal bring back bad memories. I’m so glad the team is good now.
It’s hard to know who’s next, which is a good thing. Aho or Necas seems most likely (Svech would be a candidate too if he was playing the whole season), but it’s possible that there could be a surprise like KK or Jarvis. Or perhaps the yet to be acquired sharpshooter that most of us so desperately want?
