Yep Penguins fans, it’s time to clean house. Hunter starts the show in an unusual way but don’t worry, you all will get into it. He first looks at how embarrassing of a performance this was and how the team showed absolutely nothing from start to finish. He crushes everyone on the roster for showing no fight, energy, spirit, or anything as the Penguins looked like they didn’t even want to be there. After that, he examines why the Fenway Sports Group needs to make changes NOW. Not tomorrow, not this weekend, not this week, but NOW. He analyzes how it all went wrong with Ron Hextall and how he has made the same mistakes here as in Philadelphia. He also applauds the fans for somehow sticking through that game and even making their displeasures known since they started some chants during the game. What strikes me most about the Penguins this season is how completely emotionless they are. Whenever they're losing big they just roll over and die, there is no pushback at all. You called them drones and that's pretty accurate. But yeah, this season is a lost cause. This team needs a major overhaul and that can't be done in the week between now and the trade deadline. Hextall and Burke definitely need replaced, and I don't even disagree about potentially firing Sullivan either. The Penguins are alarmingly flat almost every game, every coach has a shelf life and he may have reached his.
Also, I feel you Hunter.
Moves aint fixing them this season. Prob do what washington did and sell assets trade guuys out for picks. End of an Era so dissapointing

Never thought this team could make it look so hard to step up on puck carriers early in the d zone and cut guys off from coming around the net. They let teams walk all over them in the d zone. We literally couldn't muster virtually one solid exit the entire game. Really really sad to watch. Still time left. Would really appreciate them just snapping out of it and winning out lol
I agree. Burke and Hextall are flat out disasters. I like Sullivan, but I think his style has gotten stale here.
If they do make it to the playoffs they're gonna be 1 and done.
So blessed I got to go to the Stadium Series game last weekend. It was a welcome distraction from the Pens past weekend. We haven't looked this bleak since Mike Johnson couldn't figure out what a D pair looked like. I had a few drinks last night sulking as well.
Ironically Therien's rant was also a game against The Oilers. There is no way Hextall survives this, but I still don't think he's let go until after the season. I cannot remember a time where a GM was fired this late in the season, coaches yes, but GMS if those happen in season, it's typically early on.
I definitely think Hextall and Burke are both given the pinkslip after the season, no question about it.

Maybe there's a chance we can talk Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr into giving it another go… at least they can demonstrate what leadership through adversity is… I think Sidney Crosby is getting tired of carrying this team on his back. Oh and incidentally, Brian Burke doesn't wear a tie, seems to eat well, and looks surly… I think that's pretty much his job description. Players going multiple games without a point is starting to take on a whole new meaning… What is the point of them being out there?
Great stuff, Hunter. Geno is actually only making $6.1 million, that should make you throw up your Captain Morgan. I agree with your assessment, punt this season, sell off your UFA's and gut the front office. Re-tool in the summer.
I dont feel bad for the Core they are the reason we have been losing too!!! They talk about stepping up nobody in the damn building is stepping up not even the Zamboni driver or custodian.
