This seems to be further along from reports of the summer. Still nothing official yet. Would be a good move if it means he’ll strictly play in the khl this year. SKA is stacked and if he has to do this to get play time it’s the right move.

A bit late, but I wonder if drafting Russian players is going to bite NHL teams in the ass. Like I could see Putin just slamming the door on prospects leaving the country and then you’re left holding the bag

The NHL and the Red Wings in particular, should not be having ANY collaboration with Russian entities right now, including the KHL.
