  1. I thought this is why the defensive strategy of staying in the middle doesn't work at higher levels. I noticed that D had started to force the puck carrier for a while, but the past 5 years or so, they've been playing the middle. Doesn't this basically give the puck carrier a partial breakaway every time?

  2. Doughty is an elite D, plays it perfectly, takes away the tap-in to Gagner. It’s Petersen who plays it wrong

  3. Oddly enough McDavid took a play out of Gags shootout book with 100 stickhandles.

  4. Ik kings are getting slapped but you have to give them props for rebuilding the right way something Montreal will never learn how to do 😂

  5. McDavid: fakes pass
Doughty: "okay let me take away the pass"
    McDavid: fakes shot
    Petersen: "okay i'll bite!"
    McDavid: dekes , scores
    Gagner: "………….. hello?"

  6. I was just saying this in the other video, but that was a really good play by Patrick Russell to block the original shot then force that turnover which leads to the play. Extremely good defence……also how funny is McDavid saying "thanks" to the referee at 0:25 who most likely said to him nice goal.

  7. McDavid just looks expressionless and like "yep another one of these no probs"

  8. I like how the king's bench, and then the oilers bench start standing as he goes by, almost as if they know he's going to pull something off
