Since I consider myself the Daniel Sprong expert I can tell you that he is one buff dude. I’ve been watching his career since he was in the minor league and he has never been the type of player looking for trouble. I’ve never heard of him getting in trouble off the ice. We will see what comes of it but I don’t think too much will.

None of this makes any sense to me.
1. Why would he punch him in the face unprovoked?
2. How the hell did he come back and sucker punch him after they were separated? It doesn’t work like that especially in the kind of bar these two would be found in. You start a fight, you are done, you are escorted out by security and you aren’t coming back.
3. Why would you post on social media crucial evidence that should be only sent to your lawyers? All you are doing is giving Sprong more time to prepare his case in defence against you.
4. The injuries make zero sense in the story. I’d be curious to hear more details but none of it makes any sense. The neck makes sense, it’s marks where you would expect from a right hand grab on your neck. But the broken teeth make no sense. The teeth are not knocked out they are heavily chipped which could be possible if Sprong had a ring on. I’d assume Sprong is a righty which makes it make no sense for him to have cracked his left teeth. However, it does match up if he punched with his left and had a wedding band on which creates this interesting thing where maybe his right hand was otherwise occupied so he had to hit him with his left… which might tell us that it wasn’t a sucker punch, but instead a good shot in a scuffle.
It does make sense considering I’d imagine Sprong is considerably tougher then DeMelo which would give him the upper hand.
It all seems just really weird since DeMelo gives zero context or motive here, it seems like he is hiding some very important details here. I’m interested to see what Sprong has to say.
Also not to mention, he claims he can’t say more at this time due to legal reasons. But he completely painted a picture of the incident with him completely as the victim with no context… he has already given Sprong ammunition in his defence I don’t understand what else he could possibly have that can’t be said except maybe the reason the fight happened, or that it may not have actually been a sucker punch and he doesn’t want to give out info that could expose that.
