Support whoever you want. Just know that if they’re rivals you will see some shit talking. Lol

  2. phonesmahones

I hate 31 teams, but do whatever you want.

  3. mingomcgoo

It is ok to support ANY TEAM playing against the Maple leafs

  4. JeffersonStarscream

I mean, you’re not gonna, like, go to jail for it or anything.

  5. rerun6977

Come playoff time and my team ain’t there, I root for whoever is not on my “list”

  6. No-Material-23

    Yes, it’s ok.

I’m a fan of the Penguins, and any team playing Philly.

  7. JadeHellbringer

Sure. I do. I grew up in a family of Bruins fans (I’m third-generation), but was raised in Denver- so when the Avalanche came to town, I was a teenager and just thrilled to have the NHL in town. So I support both teams roughly equally, when they face each other that one or two times a year I just hope for whichever one needs the points in the standings more to win it (preferably in OT).

This reminds me of that scene in Shawshank where Red finally gets out of prison and keeps asking for permission to take a piss.

You’re free now, you can do whatever you like.

Someone already beat me to the “any team but the leafs”. But for real. ANY team but the leafs…

Do whatever makes you happy. It aint that deep.

I’ve been a Wings fan my whole life. When they went downhill after 2016, I started watching the Caps because their/Ovi’s quest for the cup intrigued me. That’s when I realized I just like watching good hockey. I’ll always be a Wings fan, but now I’ll watch good/fun teams, and fun matchups. That mentality made me a hockey fan, not just a Red Wings fan. I enjoy the game many times more than I used to thanks to rooting for other teams, especially in the playoffs.

I cant wait to put all this new love and excitement for the game into Red Wings playoff games.

I follow the Oilers in the West conference and Islanders in the east

  12. LogieThePerogie

    Im a vegas fan
i get hated too much to cheer for another team lol

  13. NoSignature7630

Supporting multiple teams is like having a favorite ice cream flavor – why choose just one? Enjoy the game!

  14. I have a team I follow in every division so yeah it’s completely fine.

  15. NightHaunted

Do whatever you want man it’s a kid’s game

  16. Fleganhimer

Yep, there’s only one rule and that’s that you should chose to cheer for whatever team you want. There is, however, an addendum to that rule which is that it shouldn’t be Philly.

  17. Ok_Orchid7131

I mean my team is the Flyers, but i’ve always liked the Sharks, other side of the country, different division, but when they play each other, there is no doubt who i am rooting for.

  18. Canadian__Ninja

No you’re only allowed to like one team. If Gary finds out you like more than one he’s going to find you while you sleep and break your kneecaps

  19. mudamuckinjedi

I say it is ok as long as they ain’t in the same division. Personally I think it is acceptable to have two favorites as long as they are not in the same conference. I’m a Rangers fan through and through but I am also fond of the Chicago Blackhawks.

  20. ARussianSheep

I have 3 teams I support. So whatever you want, there aren’t rules that say you can’t. Lol.

  21. tomf_22033

Yes. I root for the Caps ans anyone playing the Pens.

  22. BlueRFR3100

I support two teams. The Blues and anyone playing the Blackhawks.

  23. myfaceaplaceforwomen

Hell yeah brother. Support whomever you like. Just don’t support the kings or the sharks

  24. Optimal-Job-2659

at the end of the day, it’s just the battle of the different colored shirts so yes

  25. mamascan

Sports were never meant to be taken as serious as some do. Live ya lifeee

  26. TapHead488

I don’t necessarily support any other teams, but if the rags get knocked or don’t make the playoffs, I have teams I root for instead.

Never Philly, Toronto or Montreal though.

  27. PrebenInAcapulco

I think if you grew up in a certain city as a fan of a team, but moved to another city permanently then it’s ok to have your original team as your number one team and a local team as your number 2 team so you can watch the games on tv and go to games etc. Like I’m a hawks fan in NYC and I root for the rangers against anyone except the hawks. And I care a lot more about the hawks but it’s nice to have a local team too.

  28. budliteyears

For me it’s the Sabres (childhood team) and Avs (hometown team)

Nothing wrong with that at all, but I definitely will root for the Sabres first (always fun watching with Avs fans).

Rooting for 2 teams also can give you a better perspective on the eb and flow of success in the NHL. Win now vs rebuild.

  29. _Tranquil_Dude

    Yes.

I support the Penguins and the Ducks.

  30. AresandAthena123

I like the Leafs and the Habs…but I will shit talk either if need be…

  31. Dankleberg__

I mean Im a penguins fan but I like edmonton cause my dad gives me crap that I support an american team (I dont know if he knows that their players are canadians lol). And then gives me shit for liking multiple teams, 🤷‍♂️ idk like whatever
