  1. What actually happens if a team breaches the ‘10% over the cap’ rule in the off-season? What’s the penalty? Bc MLSE can afford any fine.

  2. We all know what Henderson NV is famous for! Which makes it ideal for a destination for a bunch of young males with lots of money.

  3. I really liked the game Jim Nill played as a RW for the Jets. Bottom 6 forward. Great on the penalty kill. Completely shut down his opposite to the point he disappeared. +/- wasn't the best, but that was a result of the penalty kill minutes. played the game with sandpaper and grit, but very clean. Great team mate in the locker room as well as the ice.

  4. Karlsson just needs to be(feel like) the top dog.
He doesn’t like to feel inferior, and frankly it’s kinda hard to not feel a bit less than when standing beside a man so big who is actually very talented at what he does.
As an Ottawa fan I loved him when he played for us but it was very clear what his ego brought to the table in terms of being a true team player. Burns is a true team player, and the comments about his goofy attitude are simply misplaced. His teammates love him.

  5. All the Caniacs say it with me, "TONY, TONY, TONY!!!" Going after Karlsson was never a smart move long term with the cap and all the extensions we need to lock up with our younger core players. Tony is a GREAT fit here in Raleigh and I hope after this one year deal we can get a deal done to keep him here.

  6. Give Brodie away for nothing if you have to, buying him out means next year the leafs have 4million in dead cap.

  7. How does Carolina have the cap space every year? Serms like they are never worried about going over the cap!

  8. I don’t know, Burns was so good with Slavin. I would think TDA is with Orlov instead and that’s going to be the second line

  9. Bergeron has retired. I repeat, Bergeron has retired. The Bruins are entering rebuild mode.

  10. I honestly don't no why the Canes are messing with the D-Core after adding Orlov. The D-Core is already one of if not the best in the league. I really don't know where Tony D Fits. All I know is he better have tougher skin this go round if they meet the Rangers in the playoffs!!!! Chatty over Tony D any day!!!

  11. As good as DeAngelo can be, it's always a big risk signing a player like him. He's not the best teammate and his personality can lead him in off the ice issues at times. Again, I think skill wise he's a good player. With that being said, I love/hate this signing for the Canes. Since you never know which DeAngelo you'll be getting.

  12. Why Tony the Angel can’t sign long term anywhere? He done well at three different places in 5 years. He is good offensive DMan.

  13. Tony DeAngelo is a true teammate-braker. Would never risk having that on my NHL team even for a very cheap minimum contract when there are a lot of good options in younger picks.

  14. Leafs have to get under the Cap fast, how is a question. How?

  15. TDA did play better at Carolina but collapsed during the playoffs. That makes me nervous. Plus I’m not entirely convinced the blue lines are better without Pesce and/or Skjei.

  16. The Canes made out like bandits and the Flyers are choking on the money they paid to DeAngelo. A year ago, the Canes weren't willing to pay over $2 million or so to DeAngelo and the Flyers signed him for $5 MILLION A YEAR FOR 2 YEARS! Well Tony tanked in Philly and the Flyers ended up buying him out of the $ 5 million left few days ago. Now the Canes get him for $1.6 million and Tony has got money too already in his pocket, courtesy of the Flyers.
