Projecting Bedards season already is pretty unfortunate for him. Now if he doesnt score at least 80 everyone will call him a bust. Thats a lot a points for a first season.
I honestly think Bedard is gonna hit less than 60 points this season.
Tatar probably signs with Pens with Jake out for a while,then put two players on waivers at camp.
Zegras has some highlight goals but he needs to be more than that. Stop trying to be pretty all the time. Whats the point of getting 2 Michigan goals a year but ending up with only 65 pts?

Stalock was the Hawks best goalie last year, and most interesting character.

Kessel just won the cup
Tatar is still a 20+ goal scorer and got multiple years left
Staal is Staal, could be a solid 3rd/4th liner still
Halak is still a viable option as a backup

Those guys are still available and most likely on the cheap for a cup contending team, free up 3-4 million get a whole deluxe 3rd/4th line potentially.

Side note/Question….There was a video from March 15, and part of it was important upcoming dates for things NHL. Could you add to that please ? I'm curious about the dates for waivers, team roster finalization etc etc. Call me lazy, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. A basic Google search just shows the schedule, and while I appreciate that, I'm curious about the behind the scene dates, if that makes any sense. Thank you.

Delaying the season previews is a good idea i made a comment a few weeks ago about that. Gives more time for potential late trades and the closer to the start of the season the more excited people are

Ain't no telling anymore with these 1st overall picks. They say he's a generational talent a-la McDavid but that guy is to the NHL what Nowitzki was for the NBA; the size of a Center with the skills of a brilliant Point Guard.

I wish more GMs put value on a reliable 3rd goalie. Thinking about this as a Stars fan, if we'd had an NHL-ready extra I think it would have helped Otter out when Wedge was down.
Wouldn't mind Jones. Having him do his obligatory "here are two weeks of godhood" thing might have made a real difference in the Stars' goalie health going into the playoffs.
