Domi and Bertuzzi bring tremendous grit and this is exactly what they have been lacking for years….too much superstar fluff and little grit. Add Reaves to the mix….suddenly the Leafs have grit and muscle.
I hope he fights an opposing fan while in the penalty box and avenge his father 😂

I don't get why he suggests that Bertuzzi is a little bit better than Bunting. This guy is 5 times the player Bunting is. Bertuzzi is bigger, tougher, plays the pk, fights, score greasy goals way more, and the list just goes on and on that I can't keep counting. I usually like Top Shelf's analysis but his take on Bunting and Bertuzzi is just soooo wrong in my opinion.

2 really good moves but they should have bought out Murray and need to solve the Tavares problem. And by doing so they can get one more really good d man and a 1st or 2 nd line center with more grit to help change the culture of this being only a regular season team.

Bunting, Schenn and Acciari should have been kept. Schenn is cheaper than Kling and makes Reilly 90% better. Acciari, no exp needed. Bunting instead of JarnKrok all day long.

2 Great Signings By Toronto. How Are They Doing This ? Getting Not 1 But 2 Real Good Players To Take 1 Year Deals When Both Wanted Long Term Deals & Much More Money. What Are They Promising Them Must Be A Handshake Deal That They Will Be Taken Care Off ASAP With Longer Term & Bigger Dollars ASAP. Someone On Toronto`s Roster Will Not Be Back Nylander/Marner/Matthews Someone Is Out I Would Think.

***AND HERE"S THE BEST PART… Treliving flips Nylander to another team for something like:
* Cap space! Or…
* A bonafied young winger / prospect! Or…
* A top end shutdown d-man! Or…
* A long-term contract with Bertuzzi and/or Domi! Or…
* Draft picks (remember when Toronto used to have those, and they turned into players like Rielly & Marner?!) Or…
* A legitimate #1 goalie prospect (remember when Toronto used to have goalie prospects?!) Or…
* Any combination of the above!
I don't know how to fully express this in words…but we'd actually have a team we can be PROUD of! We'd return to the era of players like Gilmour, Clark, Sundin, (Tie) Domi, Muller…etc…it be heaven on earth once again have superstar players who actually cared enough to work hard in the playoffs, to not give up, and to not run off on millionaire vacations the moment they were eliminated from the playoffs. Brad Treliving could be the next Cliff Fletcher who saves this franchise!!!
Well, the Leafs are definitely going to have a different look, now acquiring Max Domi—they are getting more grit and toughness to the lineup, BUT, what about the Core 4 ? Are they planning on trying to keep Nylander in the fold? Need to get Matt Murray off the payroll to free up some cap space, which they solely need to resign Samsonov, and they still need to free up more space. The Reaves pickup was also good for adding toughness to the lineup. Yeah, I agree with you, the Leafs are not done yet. Thanks for the update.
Toronto is a revolving door of overrated players that can't win. Domi would have been better to go back to the Hawks.

Hate the Klingberg signing, Love the Bertuzzi signing. Domi… somewhere in the middle. 1 year at 3M is relatively low risk, see what happens. Have to get Samsonov signed now, then once that's done, they can either trade or buy out Murray at the next buy out window. D core still looks shaky to me, Klingberg is a marshmallow, and one of the worst d-men in his own end in the NHL. That signing really is a head scratcher for me.

I don’t know how the hell they keep signing everyone? Gonna have to trade half the team. Still no defense and haven’t signed samsnov yet either. All I can do is laugh when leaf fans say they are the best team in the league. Last years team was way better and they weren’t 9 million dollars over the cap.
Domi, Bertuzzi and Reaves are great additions for the physical aspect which the Leafs were lacking, but also more so Domi and Bertuzzi can generate points. I do not expect many points from Reaves, but his hard hitting is a huge welcome. Now the Leafs need to send down Giordano and bring up Timmins, trade or buyout Murray and trade Kerfoot and Jarnkrok. No need for these guys now.
