  1. If you're realistic and you look at the rest of the Atlantic division and how stacked it is The Red Wings just aren't there yet. They'll be better but asking them to get to90 points this year where the playoff teams live might be a very tall ask

  2. James Reimer – 35 years olds, 476 NHL games in a 13 year NHL career, and no AHL games since 2010-11. Alex Lyon – 30 years old, 39 career NHL games in 7 professional season, and AHL games in all 7 professional seasons. How is this a competition? James Reimer is the Wings backup goalie. At this point, Alex Lyon is who he is. Alex Lyon is a 4A player. To non-baseball fans, in baseball, a 4A player is someone who puts up near all star caliber stats in the highest level of the minors (Triple A), but is not consistent enough to put up respectable stats in MLB. That is what Alex Lyon is, near all star level stats in the AHL (career AHL SV% of just above 0.911) and inconsistent limited results in the NHL (career NHL SV% of 0.904).
