Foligno is an integral character piece that Leafs have needed since Matt Martin departed. I think Nick potentially could be the best of this ilk since Gary Roberts.
At 5:47 Mark Steve makes the point a lot of people were making on Twitter etc about Kevyn Adams and the Buffalo Sabres before the trade. It does however seem that Hall and his no-movement clause had a lot to do with where he went.
From 14:18 to 15:03 – AHEMMMMMM!!!!! – would've been nice if Matt Sundin had that kind of integrity when he retired and didn't want to go anywhere else, but just to retire a Leaf, only to join the Canucks the next year. And don't get me wrong, I'm not upset that he took the insane money Vancouver threw at him; that's only business & I would've done that too, BUT . . . prior to that I would've said to my GM, OK, I'll go to the Red Wings to help the Leafs and I'll sign with you for one game next year so I can retire a Leaf. Detroit wanted him soooo bad for their cup run and it would've been good for "the team" (the Leafs Matt, YOUR team), and yes they would've resigned you the following year so you could still retire a Leaf!!!!! You selfish twit! Can't understand why some Toronto fans think he was the best Leaf ever???? NOT EVEN CLOSE!
With all these picks for players the Leafs are doing, they are definitely trying to win the cup this year. This means if the Leafs fail to do so this year, next year could be the start of another era of darkness for the leafs as players leave.

i hate this trade. Dubas has burned all of our draft picks. We hardly have any left! Foligno is not worth a 1st no matter where it is. A lottery ticket looks great so long as the $1 million dollar prize is there. Once you lose you wish you had your money back.
