  1. First comment.
    The rebuild won’t fail !!
They have Caufiled , Suzuki , slafkovsky,Newhook, dach , Jack eye.
    Etc..
Don’t say slafkovsky is a bust. He barely played. I like your channel but I disagree with this vid. Also we have great amazing minor leaguers that are coming up soon

  2. They can be saying that stuff five years after all those other players develop. For right now we are just going to have to wait and see

  3. Oh opps. I commented before I watched this vid.
Sorry ! I’m like the libs. Hating on trump without facts
    Sorry

  4. They're going to go the Finals before any other Canadian team.

  5. As a Leafs fan and looking at the title, I would 100% agree with this video. This is a great opinion. Thanks for making this video 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Edit: Just watched the video and the rebuild is now going to be a success??? I 100% disagree with this. The Canadiens just aren't good enough.

  6. With all do respect your points are valid, but the Canadiens rebuild is going to take a bit longer, considering there 2 most recent picks. Reinbacher is not a Roman Josi just cause on news article says so. Slafkovsky isn’t going to be the best player from his draft, he’s not going to be corner stone for the Canadiens, he’s going to be a solid play but he’s not going to be what you make him out to be, I’m sorry it’s just the truth. This year was a stacked draft, they could have gotten someone really good, or could of traded back to draft reinbacher.

  7. Lol! Anyone saying Slafkovsky and Reinbacher were bad picks are immediately disqualified from the conversation. These are the same people who would have taken Yakapov first overall.

  8. Can you make a video about leo carlsson and the ducks and how they took him instead of fantilli ?

  9. Tell Slaf to keep his head up. Big guy like that getting hurt by a much smaller guy is fucking laughable. He's the perfect hab Softer than charmin

  10. nah Ive hated Montreal as much as the next guy (traditionally), but there's really no doubt they are rebuilding the right way.

  12. unless we get another top 5 pick, we are not gonna be better than any rebuilding team in the atlantic. Buffalo, ottawa, red wings are all ahead as far as current core pieces and prospect pool. Tampa, toronto and florida will be competitive for a while. Im sorry mais à part Hutson, nos prospects sont mid. Not saying Slaf is a bust already, but its ok to admit that we landed the 1st pick in a weak draft and that significantly delays the rebuild. Especially when we skip on a generational talent in the next draft when the 2024 draft will be stacked in defenseman. Unless they step up big time, I also agree that Cole and Nick are not franchise, first line players for a contending team. That being said, a couple of teams (ex Vegas, Seattle) have shown that you can be competitive with a comittee of good players, it depends how the team is built. Like lets be honest love Xhekaj but if hes a stud then the rebuild is def going to fail.

  13. no price , no chance goalies like him dont come along that often ! habs dodged a bullet by trading away petry he wasnt very good for pittsburgh !

  14. We just don’t have a top star in any of those guys. It’s fine, it just is hard to watch a boring team at this point.

  15. If anything winning with a highly paid goaltender is the exception not the rule, Vasilevsky did it multiple time, Bob and Price came close, who else ?

Is the difference between a 3-5 million and a 10 million goaltender really that worth it ?

  16. Agreed and great video. I do have low confidence in the scouting staff though. Passing on Brady K a few years ago is another example of them not taking the best player.

  17. Loved your point about Suzuki and Caufield during the Finals run a few years back! If Marner and Matthews could play like that, the Leafs would be a Finals contender for sure. And if Suzuki & Caufield can bring that back this season, the Habs will also be a legit contender.

  18. Lol these guys are clowns and dont understand the rebuild of the Habs. Everything is falling into place just right.

  19. The Slafkovsky argument might be the weirdest, because it's not as if Shane Wright set the league on fire. Big guys take longer to develop, and he might still be the best pick of that year.

Does the team need more good players? Sure. We probably need a #1 goalie, even if he doesn't have to be as good as Price. But Hughes is adding many good players while still having to get rid of Bergevin's bad contracts. He has a lot of work to do and maybe he will make a big mistake down the line, we just don't know. But so far, he's done a lot of good things.
