Along the way I have met several people who have struggled with health issues pertaining to long COVID, chronic immune response syndrome, and other similar cases that are quite complex. I love him dearly and will always support him but I don’t know if many teams are going to be jumping to sign a 36 year old who hasn’t played a full season since 2019. He’s still a faceoff king and maybe someone will want a solid veteran presence on a low term low AAV deal…curious to see what he’d be looking for in a years time.

He’s done. He may not fully accept it now, but the health stuff will scare off teams even when he tries to come back. He tried the year off thing already, and we saw how that went last season.
