The story of the FIRST NHL all-star game is one of the craziest stories in Hockey history. When Eddie Shore was hit by King Clancy one night, Shore was dazed and wanted revenge. In his confused state, he levelled Leafs player, Ace Bailey into the air, landing on his skull. Bailey would fracture his skull and remain in a coma for weeks. When Bailey survived, the first NHL All-Star game was held in his benefit. Ace Bailey and Eddie Shore would shake hands and make amends. Shore would wear a helmet for the rest of his career!
