When you talk about the Leafs core players. Nylander is apart of that group. A 10 million per season ask from the Leafs? I think is more than reasonable if he is in the line of fire as a leader on the team. Based on what the other 3 are being paid.

Its things like this that makes me grateful for being a devils fan. The highest contract in their forward group is timo at 8.8. Everyone else is 8 or lower. Nylander has a right to be paid, but he should know he wont have a chance at a cup with that price tag..

Wille Has Carried Leafs, in 2 playoffs and been solid since he has been there. Most well rounded and complete forward they got. They are trying to bend him over. He deserve it. And leafs dont valie him for what jas done and brought to the team. It womt happen, but would love to see him go to the Red Wings. And then scorch Toronto when they play.

How do his numbers indicate 10 million at all? He has one season his entire career above a point per game, he could put up 170 points next year and still not be a point per game guy on his career. Thats how far short he is of that. 13 forwards have 10+ million contracts, 3 of them are Leafs. Only 5 arent centers (Panarin, Pastrnak, Marner, Patrick Kane, Huberdeau). Nylander isnt anywhere close to those guys. Only Huberdeau is under a point per game and he had just come off a 115 pt season AND despite 55 last year has a significantly better career points per game than Nylander. Nylander is a good player but hes not a top 10 winger in the league, let alone deserving to be top 6.
