They are finally starting to look good.
I feel like this team is taking the devils route and may surprise a fair share of the nhl this season. As a devils fan, i really like this team.
I think Buffalo and Ottawa are going to be what NJ was last year. Deep young teams with future Cup potential finally breaking out and becoming the top dogs of their division. They're going to finish in the three, if not, be the top 2.
They should end the drought this year, but the east is not easy.
A full season of "Between 2 stalls".

So excited for the future of my expansion brothers, really like their team.
I would love to eventually see Buffalo having two "top pairings". Have Dahlin and Power each playing around 25 minutes so 50 of the 60 minutes one of them is on the ice. Find them partners like how Fox has Lindgren, Hedman had Rutta for the 2 cups, etc. Samuelsson will be one of the two partners already.
Their lack of forward depth will likely hold them back.
I could see them maybe squeezing in as a wild card
Basically if everything goes to plan the Sabres should make it, but there are a lot of chances the management is taking with this roster, and if one or two miss, so will the Sabres.
Gosh darn, I can't wait for hockey season!! The drought fleill finally end!

their only hope for a playoffs series win is if they face the leafs or the bruins in the first round and it's a slim chance. yes, i'm factoring the choking factor for both of theses teams.
My favorite team, second to the Flyers. They are definitely ahead of them. It’s been a long time for Buffalo, but there time is here!! The Flyers are three years away from being three years away from being a true playoff contender.

Im loving this team. Blues fan who didnt want to trade thompson, but it worked out so cant complain. BUT knew he would be a monster, and they are putting a nice team around him, and fun to watch. Gotta make the playoffs for janneret….it would be fitting that they make a run the season after he passes. Too good a story to not happen. Go sabres!
Feels bit bad for Tokarski because nobody even notice that this is already second team where he is added. 🙂 Granted it is hard to follow these veteran depth goalies. They seem to be every year on different team.
There aren´t anymore Sidorkiewicz type of veteran depth goalies who would be with one team for years (Devils).
Careless play is not a way to get into the playoffs. The Sabres must cut down on their mistakes. But, young teams get careless, over the 56 years I have watched the game I’ve seen young teams play in a careless manner. They will have a slump during November and December when they hit the road. Not this season, if they don’t settle down, they’ll have injuries and suspensions to deal with.
I really hope this is Buffalo's year .
The questions in goaltending. They have everything working except consistent goaltending, if Levi isn't the guy I think it might be time to push hard to get Hallyebuck or Carter Hart, bc Hallyebuck is one of the reasons the Jets were competitive. If they get that, this team can be in the Top 3 of their division

Buffalo didn’t have a great home record and Kulich could make an impact this year. Levi is that x-factor. They also need to make the goat head the full time jersey. They just played better wearing them.
Thompson is just so absurdly good. I remember watching his goals from 21/22 and being astonished at what I saw. Every single goal was highlight reel material. And I recall most of those goals in that vid were a result of his elite shot, scoring from distance. It's almost like he went into this year trying to prove he could score in other ways because if you look at his goals from last season there's SO many insane dekes and puck handling related goals where he scores in close. Just an insane player, think it's 100+ easy for him next year
Here is my favorite team. The additions to the blue line should help the goals against. As well as continued experience from the youth. I think this is the year they break the drought. 4th in the Atlantic, 1st wild card 94-99 points.
I really hope they can get into the playoffs the upcoming season.
Can’t imagine them doing much damage when there, but it’s time to get some playoff experience so they can make a long run in a couple of years.

Adding clifton is was 200 hits and 100+ blocks as well as Johnson having 100+ hits and 100+ blocks. Should be tougher to play against by a lot
