First time I’ve ever and will ever upvote Canadiens content, but I just love that little fucker

Throw most recently retired high scoring forwards exclusively on the power play and I’m sure they’ll do well.

there’s no question that he can still keep up from a mental perspective. the question is, can he keep up from a physical perspective? Can his body handle the wear and tear? Does he still have the wheels?
okokokoyeahright
Showing the boys, he is still one of them. Gotta love MSL!
Oh la la indeed.

Dank_Bubu
Yeah, let’s give him top line minutes with Jagr

In a no contact league? Yes! But I doubt he wants to put his body through that.
Dontdothatfucker
Yeah, they’ve iced the Blues every season since 1967

Most hockey players don’t retire because they can’t play at a high level, it’s that they can’t play at a high level for 82 games a year and keep their bodies intact.

In my beer league? Yeah. He’d probably put up a minimum of 10 points a game. In the NHL? No. Age is a bitch. He’s one of the best players of all time but no one can beat aging.

He makes it look so easy and graceful

The game is just so fast now that I’m guessing he wouldn’t be able to keep up but having said that he’s a good enough player with next level hockey IQ and still young enough that I have a hard time not seeing him put up 25/30 points if he was given top line minutes and played 82. I think he’d probably be a black hole defensively though.
