  1. I don't like this mock trade.. a 1rst and a 3rd for Anderson, DeSmith and Savard? Myers and Beauvillier are not interesting for the habs.

  2. Does not make sense for Canucks as there is only 1 yr left for both AB and TM and then take on another long term contract for Anderson and give up another 1st round pick. Maybe if Benning was still around, it could happen.

  3. Norlinder can leave I'd be happy because he is not good at anything I have zero use for him not even in LAval.

  4. Canuck trade , just fiction, Savard will retire in Montreal, young ones look up to him, Savard hade the most block shoots last years, hes experiance as no price. as for Matheson , well hes rely good, takes lot of ice time and wont mess up to much. but if evert traded, i think MTL, will wait at least the last week before playoff where they will fetch a grater return on the trade….

  5. If we're to trade with Vancouver, we might as well swing for the fences : Elias Pettersson is a UFA, next July. If they can't sign him, I'd offer a sign and trade : Pettersson signed, 8 x 10, for :
Matheson, Anderson, the Flames first in '25, a 2nd.

(p.s. an advice : you have nothing to gain, badmouthing Grant McCagg. He knows a lot about hockey, and he's a veteran. Plus, you talk about ''reliable sources'', while your first topic was a rumor from a Canucks fan….)

  6. Anderson for Beauvillier any day of the week. Even Benning wouldn’t be crazy enough to risk it.

The rest of the mock draft is just to make the money work, but Montreal isn't looking for more defensemen we already got way too many. Also, i very much doubt that Vancouver would want Anderson’s contract over potentially a quite better value one from Beauvillier if some chemistry/playoff in Vancouver can convince him to stay.

  7. WE do have a lot of defencemen on the depth chart especially on the left side. The right side has great potential with Reinbacher and Mailloux but they are not yet NHL ready.. The problem is that experience is not there yet so it looks like a good proposal given Myers can help out on the short term basis and Beauvillier is a multi tasked player that can play on the PP and PK as well. His speed and tenacity on the forecheck are good. I like Anderson a lot but it has been a roller coaster ride here with the Habs. Many teams were after his services but Bergy added a little more pepper to the offer to win the deal. Who would not want a 6'3, 225 pounder with his speed and presence ? Those draft picks added to the equation still are not proven but you never know at how they develop. If Anderson goes, it opens up a chance for another young player to step into the puzzle. I hope they give Joshua Roy a good look. This kid can be quite a player if they give him a chance to develop. Great potential indeed! Norlinder is quite a challenge to assess. Has all the skills offensively to shine but defensively it is another story. It is up to him to seize the opportunity. He can play the game but can he do it at the high level in the NHL ? Give him a good look and see what happens ?? Is he willing to pay the price ?

  8. I said a day ago Norlinder will be back. Hughes to smart not to get an asset at the least.Duh that's a no Brainer for any knowledgeable Habs fan Garbage trade, love Josh Anderson.

  9. We can’t take in anymore LW or LD unless it’s a major upgrade from Cole, Slaf, RHP, maybe even Newhook(if he plays on the wing), and all the prospects looking to break into the line up. MM, Guhle, Xekjai, Bonezone and Engstrom pretty much set. We need RW assets from top to bottom. After Monahan, Gally and Anderson.. we have Ylonen and hopefully Roy. Cap space and roster spots are good but we need assets to trade for our needs on RW. Josh Anderson and maybe Mike Matheson(if Gulhe can show promise on the top pairing in the next couple years) and a 1st round pick are pretty much our only assets with real value to trade. Signing a UFA is not ideal before we know for sure what our top six can really do. The number of RW projected to go high so far in next years draft is nothing to get exited about.

  10. Earlier in the offseason someone mentioned something about the habs taking on connor Garland, and I'd assume we'd also have to take him. I would take that for the cost against the cap

  11. As Habs fans HARD NO !, why we have too many midget forwards and we have good def system.

  12. So let me get this straight, the Canucks give up 2 expiring contracts to take on Andersons long contract and we are giving up the picks 😂😂

  13. Anderson is a kind of player not very common and has leadership so even if his contract is maybe 1 or 1-1/2 millions too much, we need that guy near the youngsters. Even if he doesn’t score 30 per season it’s still 20 and he make ls things happen on the ice with his speed and physical presence. Habs don’t have a replacement for Anderson for now.

He’ll probably mentor for 1-2 years before getting traded and it is fine.

Gallagher, Dvorak and Armia are the contracts to move but finding a dance partner will not be easy

  14. NO reason that we can not move one of our D prospects to the wing. Hello Struble Dash Slav not too shabby. Or imagine wonder kid Lane up front!
