Stefen Rosner on Bo Horvat’s comments on Saturday night and the Islanders push to the playoffs
Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News joined the guys to chat about Bo Horvat’s post game Canucks comment on Saturday night and the Islanders push to the playoffs.
If anyone had a reason to be upset about his time in Vancouver it’s Bo Horvat. I also got it when Bure wanted out. He was my favourite player and I barely watched the Canucks after 1995 until about 2001 because of that mess. It was Linden’s return that brought me back. This hockey club has a history.
If people want to be upset about a player they loved and supported saying a bad thing about them, what’s wrong with that? Let’s not resort to calling them “over sensitive”. If you don’t care about his comments then great. If you care about it and want to be upset than that’s ok too!
I blame the loaded question Bo was asked in a heated moment after a win, in front of thousands of riled up fans. Obviously Bo loved his fans in Vancouver, but he has some legit reasons to be upset about what transpired, and also to ingratiate himself to his new fan base. All that said, I appreciated the apology and clarification he gave as well.
I didn't mind Horvat's comments at all. Finally he was showing some spunk instead of his usual "Sedin Sanitized" Captainspeech and no wonder he usually gives the old answers because of all this controversy. He's better off there out of this mess in Vancouver, good for Bo!
Bo previous 6 years avg 15-20 goals and is that a face off guy and use his speed good passer to but he just got lucky on his contract year playing loosy goosy for bodreou in a weak pacific division the islanders are a trap team he will never score that many again especially in the stingy eastern conf where every team is good defensively😂
Woke Bo loves to apologize for anything and everything. He spends an inordinate amount of time taking a knee for something or other, I'm sure he'll be happy in New York.

Horvat isn't going through a slump, he's just gone back to his regular mediocre production.
Bo's not a guy to drive the offense
Bo NEVER says anything off the cuff. He's a cerebral person, who thinks before he speaks. He knew what he was saying.
I have issues with Bo as a player and I think on the long run the Canucks will be a better team without him
