  1. Really smart deep thinking guy with Honor as a big part of his life. He will become a good Hab I am sure. He has a great head on his shoulders.

    Good luck kid!

  2. My question is how longer does he have of University? As this is the last year before he s not a Habs prospect anymore, if this is he’s last year than will he go to the Habs?

  3. NCAA has a number of antiquated rules and one of them is not allowing their student-athletes to sign professional contracts prior to graduating — especially the NHL contracts which can just slide. As long as they aren't being PAID a salary by the NHL teams why not allow it, in the same way Junior players do.

PS: He didn't mean his "agent", he meant his representative (ahem) …. agent is a dirty word to the NCAA.

  4. Haha! Jordan is a hella nice dude, super good player. Loved watching him play hockey at our highschool! So trippy hearing my school mentioned LOL

  5. Montreal is terrible at the draft, if you want proof, during the playoffs 8 of their 12 fowards and 5 of their 6 defensemen were acquired from other teams in trades and free agency.

  6. I like the idea of signing him once he's done. I'll also say that this doesn't worry me. If anything it makes me feel more at ease with him, knowing that he has dedication and passion for the sport. Something that runs through the blood of a true hockey player. He has tremendous honor, as he wants to "finish what he started" with his teammates all those years ago, and I support him for it.

  7. I dont know all the rules for the ncaa , can the habs help him in other ways? Tutors for his studies or personal coaches ? Can they do anything to offer aid on and off the ice?

  8. I know it’s a late comment, but if he’s being honest, I’m thrilled. He is following a bit the Laurent Duvernay-Tardif path in the NFL, you know, the doctor who’s also player? Maybe you guys don’t hear much about him, but he’s all over the media here, he’s also a star in the US. Yes he won the Super Bowl, but I’d say it’s mostly because of his background, his character. I mean, he stayed in MTL during the pandemic last year to work in a Long term care facility.
    GREAT Role models.
Hockey careers in the NHL only last 7-15 years. They are usually done by 34… if they make it for that long.
Good for him. Serge Savard talked about that recently in an interview, how the league didn’t pay enough attention to education and that’s why he is trying to change it.
We tend to have toxic fans in MTL, let’s not drive him away with our toxicity.
95% of parents would want their kids to do the same.
