At the time the blues signed those contracts, they were reasonable krug was the next best D available since we couldn't afford to keep Petro. Binnington had won us a cup and tbh his stats are more reflective of the decline in defensive play. The contracts aren't aging well but they are justifiable.
I dunno man, the Campbell deal looked bad last year, but as a Kings fan, I can tell ya that he's a major reason that the Oilers made it out of the first round. If the coaching staff had gone to him instead of refusing to get off Skinner who knows what woulda happened. We all saw what happened with Bob… Campbell mighta done the same thing.
